About this spirit

Costs 101 FP to summon one ringblade-wielding Crystalian. Its very hard body makes it useful for surviving hits, while its attacks are relatively slow.

Its crystal protection strongly reduces many incoming hit types, but strike damage bypasses much of that advantage. An enemy using heavy blunt attacks can be a much worse matchup than one relying on blades or elemental projectiles.

It attacks with crystal ringblades. Its throws can miss an enemy that moves quickly, so surviving a long time does not guarantee it will deal a large amount of damage.

In-game description

Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell.

Use to summon the spirit of a Crystalian.

Spirit that wields round crystalline blades, both big and small. Its sturdy body, itself hewn from crystal long ago, is hard enough to blunt its opponent's blades, but blows from bludgeoning weapons can shatter it easily.

Where to find

Sellia Hideaway sorcerer-camp chest

Caelid

Starting Site of Grace: Sellia Hideaway

  1. From Church of the Plague in eastern Caelid, ride northeast to the graveyard against the cliff. Strike the rock behind the tall gravestone guarded by the battlemage to reveal Sellia Hideaway, then activate its grace.
  2. Follow the miners' tunnel and break through the false walls to the first crystal cavern. Cross the long crystal over the pit rather than dropping down to the Royal Revenant.
  3. Continue over the crystals and gaps to the next large crystal chamber. Keep to its right wall and climb the highest crystal on that side. Step down from its tip onto the crystal below, then follow it left.
  4. Look below for a smaller room with a lit campfire and three sorcerers. Drop into that room when you are ready to fight. The chest here contains Crystalian Ashes; Lusat's blue seal is a separate side passage.
  5. Defeat the three sorcerers and open the camp chest for Crystalian Ashes. No key is needed for this chest, and you can leave without fighting the cave bosses or reaching Lusat.

Notes

  • Costs 101 FP to summon one ringblade-wielding Crystalian. Its very hard body makes it useful for surviving hits, while its attacks are relatively slow.
  • Its crystal protection strongly reduces many incoming hit types, but strike damage bypasses much of that advantage. An enemy using heavy blunt attacks can be a much worse matchup than one relying on blades or elemental projectiles.
  • It attacks with crystal ringblades. Its throws can miss an enemy that moves quickly, so surviving a long time does not guarantee it will deal a large amount of damage.
  • The protection is not invulnerability. Damage type, enemy attack patterns and the summon's upgrade level still matter; do not leave it to fight unsupported against an enemy exploiting its weakness.
  • Upgrade it with Grave Glovewort to +10 through Roderika. The final rank uses Great Grave Glovewort, despite this being a costly single-spirit summon.
  • The chest is in Sellia Hideaway's sorcerer camp, not Lusat's chamber. Neither Sellian Sealbreaker nor Sellen's quest is required, and the three Crystalian bosses award Crystal Torrent instead.
