Notes

• Requires 14 Strength, 20 Dexterity and 18 Intelligence and weighs 6.5. Dexterity supplies most physical scaling, with weaker Strength scaling, while Intelligence strengthens the magic portion.
• Its critical rating is 110, above the ordinary 100 rating on most spears. This benefits backstabs and ripostes rather than making every normal hit 10% stronger.
• Light attacks use spear thrusts, while heavy attacks sweep sideways like Partisan and Spiked Spear. The wider heavy attacks help catch a group that would be awkward to line up for repeated pokes.
• Spearcall Ritual costs 20 FP and calls spectral spears down around the targeted area. Their magic damage improves with Intelligence and reinforcement; increasing Dexterity for ordinary physical thrusts does not directly strengthen this rain.
• A large enemy can be struck by several falling spears, while a moving or narrow target may escape much of the spread. Do not treat the number of visible spears as a guaranteed number of hits on one enemy.
• The falling spears are magic attacks rather than physical piercing hits from the weapon in your hand. The skill has no innate Frostbite or Death Blight simply because it comes from a Death Rite Bird.
• Shard of Alexander and magic-damage bonuses strengthen the damaging skill. Spellblade armor supports its magic skill damage, while Graven talismans and Prince of Death's Staff's death-sorcery bonus do not.
• It cannot be charged, so Godfrey Icon gives no bonus. The startup still needs room; a large target is only helpful if you survive long enough to complete the cast.
• Upgrade with Somber Smithing Stones to +10. The skill and affinity are fixed, and outside grease or a weapon enchantment cannot be applied.
• The Mountaintops bird above Castle Sol is the correct reward encounter. The Consecrated Snowfield bird awards Explosive Ghostflame, and the nearby Tibia Mariner awards Helphen's Steeple.
