About this spirit
Costs 131 FP and summons one Divine Bird Warrior with a curved sword, wing attacks and feathers.
He fights actively in melee and can use his aerial movement to reach an enemy. A low ceiling or obstructed approach can still prevent his movement from producing useful attacks.
His close-range pressure can give you an opening to heal or cast, but the enemy can turn back toward you. Wait for a committed attack rather than assuming permanent attention on Ornis.

In-game description
Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell. Use to summon the spirit of Ornis the divine bird warrior.
Spirit of the divine bird warrior from whom the horned warriors claimed descent. Clad in golden armor, and granted wings and feathers of divine invocation.
Ornis succeeded in taming the divine bird and made its wings his own as he soared through the sky. When he finally fell to earth, he lived on as the guardian deity of the temple quarter.
Where to find
Ruins above Temple Town Ruins
Rauh Base
Starting Site of Grace: Temple Town Ruins
- From Moorth Ruins grace in Scadu Altus, ride northeast to the small triangular pool. Look for the cave beside a statue of Marika and a Scadutree Fragment.
- Enter the cave and follow it past the perfumers to the glowing golden tree. Take the path to its right down into the swamp.
- Turn left through the route beneath the rock and continue until you emerge into Rauh Base. Activate Ancient Ruins Base grace ahead.
- Follow the valley southwest toward Temple Town Ruins. A bow golem and an axe golem guard the approach; fighting them is optional if you can pass their attacks.
- Collect the map beneath the stele near the ruined town. This is the lower valley, not the upper ruins reached through Shadow Keep.
- Continue southwest from the map stele to Temple Town Ruins grace. Head north-northeast past the large scarlet flowers and Kindred of Rot, then climb toward the spiritspring.
- Use Torrent to land on the square ruins above. The chest immediately here holds Beast Horns, rather than Ornis.
- Find the opening on the right-hand, eastern side and follow the high ledge. Jump its gap, continue uphill and enter the small building.
- Open that building's chest for Divine Bird Warrior Ornis. This route stays above Rauh Base, separate from the upper Ancient Ruins reached from Shadow Keep.
Notes
- Costs 131 FP and summons one Divine Bird Warrior with a curved sword, wing attacks and feathers.
- He fights actively in melee and can use his aerial movement to reach an enemy. A low ceiling or obstructed approach can still prevent his movement from producing useful attacks.
- His close-range pressure can give you an opening to heal or cast, but the enemy can turn back toward you. Wait for a committed attack rather than assuming permanent attention on Ornis.
- He is a single attacker, so his survival matters more than with a disposable group. Sustained area damage can still wear him down even when individual lighter hits fail to interrupt him.
- Upgrade him with Ghost Glovewort. The chest is in the raised ruins above Rauh Base, reached by the spiritspring near Temple Town Ruins.
- The bridge from Shadow Keep reaches upper Rauh, which is a different approach. A Divine Bird Warrior elsewhere is not a random farming target for these ashes.
- His divine feathers give him an attack option beyond ordinary sword swings. The feathers and wings belong to his own moveset, rather than requiring you to equip the Divine Bird Feathers incantation.
- His armor and resistance to interruption help him stay active, but they do not make every aerial action safe. Keep attacking or healing during openings instead of treating him as an invincible replacement for the player.
- Upgrades through Roderika to +10 with Ghost Glovewort, finishing with a Great Ghost Glovewort. Reinforcement does not increase the summoning payment.
- Requires Spirit Calling Bell and an area where the rebirth-monument icon allows summoning. The ash remains reusable, but you cannot repeatedly replace fallen spirits during the same encounter.
