About this spirit

One of Seluvis's favorite puppets.

Use to summon the spirit of Dolores the Sleeping Arrow.

Spirit of a handsome archer who dressed in the style of a man. Called the Silent Hunter by some, she fires St. Trina's arrows from her shortbow.

Dolores once belonged to the Roundtable Hold, where she was both a critic and a friend of Gideon the All-Knowing. It was because of her that he and Seluvis went their separate ways.

Before you go

• Do not give Nepheli the potion if collecting Dolores from Pidia.

1. Reach the western Liurnia road and follow it north through Kingsrealm Ruins. Strike the illusory wall blocking the road at the northern end, then continue past Iji at Road to the Manor.
2. Ride toward the large manor while avoiding the magical strikes falling along the approach. Activate Main Caria Manor Gate grace at the entrance.
3. Inside, follow the courtyard path northwest toward the building in the far corner. Fingercreepers hide among the plants and beneath the ground; do not stop on a buried hand.
4. Enter the building with the seated spirit and climb its stairs to Manor Lower Level grace.
5. Take the elevated walkways east and continue straight along the main route at the first junction. Spectral soldiers appear along the bridges. Reach the far building and take its lift up to Manor Upper Level.
6. Leave the upper grace, pass the wolves in the garden and climb the main stone stairway toward the Troll Knight and sorcerers.
7. Continue up the stairs beyond the troll and Pages to the large circular courtyard. Defeat Royal Knight Loretta, then activate Royal Moongazing Grounds grace.
8. Leave Loretta's arena through the northern exit into Three Sisters. Visit Ranni's Rise to the west, agree to serve her, speak to the projections downstairs and speak to Ranni again before leaving.
9. Visit Seluvis's Rise south of Ranni's tower and accept the potion task. Keep Ranni's Fingerslayer Blade handover for after any puppet purchases you still need.
10. For the corpse route, do not give Nepheli the potion. Giving it to Gideon for disposal preserves both her quest and this Dolores outcome.
11. After finishing any puppet purchases you want from Seluvis, continue to Ranni's treasure as follows.
12. Defeat Starscourge Radahn at the Radahn Festival in Redmane Castle. His defeat opens the starfall crater in Limgrave; it is not the sealed Siofra River overlook reached from the Four Belfries.
13. Return to the Mistwood near Fort Haight and find the new crater marked by floating rocks. Use the descending ledges and openings to enter Nokron, Eternal City.
14. Follow the rooftops down into Nokron's streets, then continue to the Mimic Tear boss. Defeat it and cross the long bridge beyond the arena.
15. Leave the bridge on the left where it opens into woodland. Follow the western cliff to Ancestral Woods grace, overlooking the lower rooftops.
16. From beside the grace, drop to the roof below. Follow the roofs and narrow building ledges, fighting or avoiding the Silver Tears, until you can cross the broken stone arch into the large church.
17. Descend to the church's lower floor and watch the enormous rolling ball. Leave through the main doorway and go down to Night's Sacred Ground grace.
18. Follow the lower street past the Silver Tears toward the enormous seated skeleton. Climb the stairs below its throne and open the chest for Fingerslayer Blade. The nearby locked side room for Mimic Tear Ashes is not needed for this chest.
19. Give Fingerslayer Blade to Ranni. This causes Seluvis's death and Pidia's puppet attack. Return to Three Sisters for the roof descent.
20. Leave Royal Moongazing Grounds through the northern exit into Three Sisters. Turn left and follow the cliff edge until you find a blue Cerulean Tear Scarab above Caria Manor's roofs.
21. Look below the cliff for the roof you can safely drop onto. Drop down, then use the wooden platforms along the building's side to descend to the lower roof.
22. Find the opening in that roof and climb down the ladder. Pidia is on the balcony directly above the Manor Lower Level grace, but this balcony is reached from the roof.
23. Once the puppets have killed Pidia, loot his body on the balcony for Dolores and his bell bearing. If Nepheli received the potion, this body gives her puppet instead; arrange Dolores from Seluvis's shop on that branch.

Notes

• Costs 87 FP and summons an archer whose arrows build Sleep. Upgrade her with Ghost Glovewort.
• Her main advantage is disabling enemies that can actually be put to sleep. Resistant or immune targets can make her much less useful than her performance against a vulnerable target suggests.
• Attacking a sleeping enemy can wake it. Coordinate the opening instead of assuming a target stays disabled while you continue every attack.
• She fights from range and is less suited to absorbing close-range pressure. A clear view and an enemy occupied away from her make her arrows more useful.
• Pidia's corpse normally gives Dolores when Nepheli was not given the potion. Giving the potion to Gideon for disposal preserves that branch and Nepheli's quest.
• If Nepheli received the potion, Pidia leaves her puppet instead. Dolores can be purchased from Seluvis for five Starlight Shards on the appropriate branch before his death.
• Killing Pidia early does not replace the later puppet sequence. Finish the intended branch before giving Ranni the Fingerslayer Blade if you need a purchase from Seluvis.
• Her St. Trina's Arrows supply Sleep rather than Blood Loss or Scarlet Rot. Against a sleeping enemy, decide whether to heal, prepare a charged hit or attack immediately; an ordinary hit can waste the longer pause.
• If Nepheli received the potion, Dolores can appear among Seluvis's initial puppet choices. A later purchase costs five Starlight Shards. If Nepheli did not receive it, the selected corpse route gives Dolores without that purchase.
• Pidia's room is above Manor Lower Level, but its balcony cannot be reached by walking up from that grace. Use the Three Sisters cliff, roofs, wooden platforms and ladder.
