In-game description

Fanned golden horn of the Oracle Envoys. Profoundly weighty, its blows are sure to be felt.

Originally an instrument, but one that cannot be sounded by a mere human. Or perhaps it is too early to sound the call.

Blow on the horn to release a massive magic bubble. The bubble floats gently through the air towards its target.

Miquella's Haligtree

Starting Site of Grace: Haligtree Town

Before you go

  • Use both halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion to reach Consecrated Snowfield, then solve Ordina's evergaol puzzle to open the sending gate to the Haligtree.
  1. Obtain the right Haligtree Secret Medallion half from Albus in the Village of the Albinaurics. He is disguised as a pot on the uphill path, before the bridge leading toward the Omenkiller.
  2. Obtain the left half from the tower beyond Commander Niall at Castle Sol in the northern Mountaintops. After winning, continue behind his arena, ride the lift and loot the rooftop corpse.
  3. Return to Grand Lift of Rold with both halves and switch to the secret-medallion prompt. The ordinary Rold Medallion sends you to a different destination.
  4. Take the main stairs through Hidden Path to the Haligtree and leave into Consecrated Snowfield. Continue north through the blizzard, following the road toward Inner Consecrated Snowfield, then on to Ordina, Liturgical Town.
  5. Activate Ordina's grace and find the evergaol seal toward the back of town. Enter it to light the four statues. Invisible assassins patrol the streets and Albinauric archers fire from the rooftops.
  6. From the evergaol seal, go left down the stairs and left again to light the street-level statue. Head toward the second stairs leading toward the town grace, but take the path around the building on their right instead of going down.
  7. Climb the ladder around that building and the next ladder to its rooftop statue. After lighting it, drop from the eastern side onto the red roof, cross the connected rooftops and climb the next pair of ladders to another statue.
  8. Go down those ladders and return to the evergaol courtyard. Pass the right side of the building, drop to the snowy ground and head west around the next building to the last pair of ladders. Light the fourth statue to lift the seal.
  9. Back in ordinary Ordina, climb the long northern staircase and use the sending gate at its top. Activate Haligtree Canopy when you arrive.
  10. From Haligtree Town, go back up the stairs and climb the ladder to the canopy. Look up the branch for the giant Oracle Envoy firing large golden bubbles.
  11. Clear the rot flowers on your approach and use the branch as cover from the bubbles. The giant Envoy is the largest version of these white-robed enemies; the smaller horn players drop different weapons.
  12. Defeat a giant Envoy and check its dropped items. Rest at Haligtree Town and repeat if the greathorn does not drop. Keep clear of the branch edges while dodging.

Notes

  • Requires 28 Strength, 12 Dexterity and 24 Faith, and weighs 19.5. Ordinary attacks deal Physical and Holy damage. Strength and Dexterity have equal Physical scaling. Faith improves the Holy portion.
  • Great Oracular Bubble costs 16 FP per use. It releases one enormous floating bubble that tracks toward its target and bursts on contact. Its slow travel gives enemies time to move or put cover in the way.
  • The golden bubbles deal pure Holy damage that improves through Faith and weapon upgrades. Strength and Dexterity improve ordinary horn strikes without strengthening these independent Holy projectiles.
  • The large bubble deals 10 stance damage and can knock down vulnerable enemies, but a boss is not guaranteed to fall over.
  • Envoy Crown improves the bubble skill by 15%. Shard of Alexander adds its separate 15% skill bonus; together they give 32.25% more bubble damage before other bonuses and defenses.
  • Holy damage bonuses also help. Godfrey Icon does not because the skill cannot be charged, and incantation bonuses or a seal's scaling do not improve a horn weapon skill.
  • Oracle Bubbles and the sorcery called Great Oracular Bubble are separate Magic spells. They do not share this weapon skill's Faith scaling or Envoy Crown bonus.
  • Ordinary hammer blows deal Strike Physical damage alongside Holy damage. The crown's special bubble bonus does not increase every ordinary swing.
  • Uses Somber Smithing Stones to +10. Its skill and affinity are fixed, and grease or weapon enchantments cannot be applied.
  • Only the giant Oracle Envoys in the Haligtree canopy drop it. The small and medium versions drop different horns; there is no Leyndell greathorn farm.
