Starting Site of Grace: Cliffroad Terminus
Before you go
- To enter the Realm of Shadow, defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohg's arena at Mohgwyn Palace.
- Access the Realm of Shadow.
- From Main Gate Cross outside Belurat, take the cliffside path southeast and then south to Cliffroad Terminus. Activate the grace, then continue south to the broken buildings of Prospect Town.
- Use Torrent to climb the ruined stairs and broken pillars through the town. Go past the Bloodfiends on the lower level and keep climbing until you reach the larger group near the top, below the building with the chest.
- Defeat the Bloodfiends carrying the large arm-shaped clubs in this upper group. One of these enemies gives Bloodfiend's Arm as a guaranteed pickup. The fork-shaped spear carried by other Bloodfiends is a different weapon.
Notes
- With Standard affinity, physical damage scales most strongly with Arcane, with weaker Strength and Dexterity scaling.
- Upgrade it with Smithing Stones. Its maximum upgrade is +25.
- Can use compatible Ashes of War. Your choice of skill and the whetblades you've found determine which affinities you can apply.
- Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
- Requires 28 Strength, 11 Dexterity and 16 Arcane and weighs 20. Standard deals Strike damage and has no innate Blood Loss buildup on its ordinary light attacks.
- Strong attacks slam the arm down and release a separate blood splash. The splash has no ordinary weapon-damage portion of its own, but it adds stance pressure and can apply the weapon's status or coating effects.
- The splash applies 70% of the weapon's status buildup on an uncharged heavy and 90% on a charged heavy. The arm's contact is separate, so landing both is different from catching an enemy with only the splash.
- Blood affinity gives unusually high bleed buildup, and innate Arcane scaling helps the status-focused setup. Poison and Cold also have high buildup values, although Frost does not scale with Arcane.
- On a buff-compatible affinity, grease or an enchantment can supply the splash with a coating effect. That is different from the splash having its own base Fire or Magic damage.
- Its heavy attacks and Great Club-style vertical slams favor enemies you can keep in front of you. Missing the arm's main contact loses damage even if the smaller splash reaches the target.
- Starts with Endure, which can be replaced. The guaranteed Prospect Town reward is separate from Bloodfiend's Fork and Bloodfiend's Sacred Spear.
