In-game description

Greatswords of black steel wielded by Radahn in his youth.

A pair of weapons decorated with a lion mane motif.

These were in his possession immediately before his triumph over the stars—the swords of a lord who does not rely on physical strength and gravity alone.

Starting Site of Grace: Divine Gate Front Staircase

Before you go

  • To enter the Realm of Shadow, defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohg's arena at Mohgwyn Palace.
  • Access the Realm of Shadow and defeat Promised Consort Radahn.
  1. Defeat Messmer in Shadow Keep for his kindling and Romina at Church of the Bud in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh.
  2. Finish the companion quest steps you want before burning the Sealing Tree behind Romina with Messmer's Kindling. This advances their quests and carries you to Enir-Ilim: Outer Wall.
  3. From Outer Wall, climb northeast to the large balcony, then southwest up the next stairs. Turn southeast toward the Divine Bird Warrior and enter the building beyond it. Climb the broken ledges and cross the balcony to First Rise grace.
  4. From First Rise, take the stairs upward through the building and use the southwest doorway toward the courtyard route. Continue through to the courtyard with the large patrolling inquisitor and the smaller enemies praying below.
  5. Take the upward stairs on the courtyard's southeastern side, rather than the lower tree detour. Use the stone railings for cover from the inquisitors' rapid spells, then continue up beside the large tree to the Divine Beast Warrior.
  6. Get past the warrior and climb northwest. Keep moving when the upper inquisitors cast attacks beneath your feet. Open the large double doors at the top of the stairs and activate Spiral Rise grace.
  7. Climb the spiral stairs and leave through the window before the broken floor. Follow the roof southwest around the building, then jump west to the wider roof. Draw out the Gravebirds one at a time instead of fighting all three at the corner.
  8. Continue northwest from the roofs onto the platform with another bird and stairs. Climb the northern stairs, then the next flight toward the frost-wielding Divine Beast Warrior. The drop over the railing is an optional Spirit Ash detour.
  9. Get past the warrior. From the small structure northwest of it, go east to the corpse with Sunwarmth Stones and climb the roof beside it. Enter the tower through its southeastern windows.
  10. Climb the stairs inside the tower and clear the inquisitors around the lift. This is the lift above the large altar, before the final wind-wielding warrior and Cleansing Chamber Anteroom.
  11. Continue south-southwest up the tower's stairs and go outside. Get past the wind-wielding Divine Beast Warrior on the large platform and enter the building above it for Cleansing Chamber Anteroom grace. The lift down to the altar is an optional helmet detour.
  12. Climb the stairs east from Cleansing Chamber Anteroom and enter the sandy chamber. Finish Leda's dialogue. Use any available gold ally signs if you want help, then interact with the red sign to begin the battle against her and her allies.
  13. Defeat the group and return to your world. Loot the bodies left around the chamber before taking the eastern exit.
  14. Go through the eastern exit after Leda's battle, climb to the lift and ride up. Speak to Ansbach by the exit if he is there, then climb to Divine Gate Front Staircase grace.
  15. Defeat Promised Consort Radahn through both phases to receive Remembrance of a God and a Lord. Finishing Ansbach's quest is unnecessary for the boss remembrance.
  16. Return to Finger Reader Enia at Roundtable Hold and exchange the remembrance for Greatsword of Radahn (Lord). Choose Lord for Promised Consort; the Light sword has a different skill.

Notes

  • Requires 32 Strength, 24 Dexterity and 15 Intelligence, and weighs 19. Physical damage favors Strength over Dexterity, while Intelligence improves Magic damage.
  • Two-handing draws the paired Colossal Swords. The Light and Lord versions share ordinary damage and scaling, but have different skills.
  • The skill adds Holy damage even though ordinary attacks deal Physical and Magic damage. Its independent Holy attacks scale with Intelligence and upgrades, not Faith.
  • Promised Consort costs 20 FP to begin. Two further skill inputs cost 10 FP each, making 40 FP for the full three-stage sequence.
  • The first two stages swing both blades and send light along their path. The final stage rises and finishes with a crossing strike and a larger light attack.
  • The first two stages each deal 15 stance damage when both main contacts land; the final stage adds 25. The complete sequence can give 55, but requires the whole opening.
  • You can stop after an earlier stage. The complete animation takes several seconds and can leave too little stamina to escape if started with a nearly empty bar.
  • The skill cannot be charged, so Godfrey Icon does not apply. Holding the input longer does not turn it into Lightspeed Slash.
  • The blade contacts and separate light attacks have different damage calculations. Holy bonuses help the light portions, rather than multiplying the whole Physical and Magic sword attack.
  • Shard of Alexander improves the skill. Holy bonuses affect Holy portions, while Magic bonuses affect the blades’ Magic damage rather than every part of the attack.
  • Uses Somber Smithing Stones to +10. Its skill and affinity are fixed, and grease or weapon enchantments cannot be applied.
  • Remembrance of a God and a Lord has three choices: these two swords and Light of Miquella. One exchange gives one choice; duplicate the remembrance if you want additional rewards.
