About this spirit
Costs 112 FP and summons one heavily armored Horned Warrior with a curved greatsword and horn attacks.
His resistance to interruption lets him stay engaged through many lighter hits. This helps his committed melee attacks continue rather than being stopped by every small strike.
Resistance to stagger does not prevent HP damage. Sustained attacks and large boss combinations can still wear him down while he remains on his feet.

In-game description
Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell. Use to summon the spirit of a horned warrior.
This heavily-armored guardian spirit of the tower attained inhuman strength through divine invocation, and wields a curved greatsword that brings horns to bear on its foes.
In the tower, these warriors and their weapons both are spiritual vessels.
Where to find
Side room beyond the Spiral Rise rooftops
Enir-Ilim
Starting Site of Grace: Spiral Rise
- Enter the Realm of Shadow after defeating Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, by touching the withered arm in Mohg's arena. Defeat Messmer in Shadow Keep for his kindling and Romina at Church of the Bud in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh.
- Finish the companion quest steps you want before burning the Sealing Tree behind Romina with Messmer's Kindling. This advances their quests and carries you to Enir-Ilim: Outer Wall.
- From Outer Wall, climb northeast to the large balcony, then southwest up the next stairs. Turn southeast toward the Divine Bird Warrior and enter the building beyond it. Climb the broken ledges and cross the balcony to First Rise grace.
- From First Rise, take the stairs upward through the building and use the southwest doorway toward the courtyard route. Continue through to the courtyard with the large patrolling inquisitor and the smaller enemies praying below.
- Take the upward stairs on the courtyard's southeastern side, rather than the lower tree detour. Use the stone railings for cover from the inquisitors' rapid spells, then continue up beside the large tree to the Divine Beast Warrior.
- Get past the warrior and climb northwest. Keep moving when the upper inquisitors cast attacks beneath your feet. Open the large double doors at the top of the stairs and activate Spiral Rise grace.
- Climb the spiral stairs and leave through the window before the broken floor. Follow the roof southwest around the building, then jump west to the wider roof. Draw out the Gravebirds one at a time instead of fighting all three at the corner.
- Continue northwest from the roofs onto the platform with another bird and stairs. A small room to the south contains a separate Revered Spirit Ash. Take the stairs north, but stop halfway up and look over the right railing for the lower staircase.
- Drop onto that lower staircase and enter the side building. Loot Horned Warrior Ashes from the body inside. The southern doorway and two ladders reconnect with the upper route if you want to continue.
Notes
- Costs 112 FP and summons one heavily armored Horned Warrior with a curved greatsword and horn attacks.
- His resistance to interruption lets him stay engaged through many lighter hits. This helps his committed melee attacks continue rather than being stopped by every small strike.
- Resistance to stagger does not prevent HP damage. Sustained attacks and large boss combinations can still wear him down while he remains on his feet.
- Upgrade him through Roderika with Grave Glovewort to +10, using Great Grave Glovewort at the final step. He is a standard ash despite being a single powerful warrior; Ghost Glovewort is the wrong material.
- The ashes are on a body in a side room below the stairs beyond Spiral Rise. Defeating the nearby Divine Beast Warrior does not itself award them.
- Burning the sealing tree opens Enir-Ilim and advances several quests. The expansion's final boss is optional for this pickup, but the story access step cannot be skipped through the normal route.
- Your own Horned Warrior armor or curved greatsword does not alter his equipment. The summon has its own weapon and attack choices.
