About this spirit

Costs 240 HP instead of FP and summons three Land Squirts. Have more HP than the payment available and heal afterward when safe.

They appear near the rebirth monument and move very slowly. Where they start matters more than with a summon that can quickly chase an enemy.

Their mist deals physical damage and builds Poison. Holding a susceptible enemy among several overlapping clouds can make the group more useful.

In-game description

Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell.

Use to summon the spirits of three land squirts.

Summoning consumes HP rather than FP.

These spirits appear some distance from the summoner.

The firm, fleshy tubes of the creatures remain rooted to the spot, spraying poisonous liquid over their surroundings.

Where to find

Shore below the cliffs east of Academy Gate Town

Liurnia of the Lakes

Starting Site of Grace: Gate Town Bridge

  1. From Lake-Facing Cliffs in southern Liurnia, descend to the lake and follow its eastern side north past the ruins toward Gate Town Bridge. Stay on the lower lakeshore rather than the eastern cliff-top highway.
  2. From Gate Town Bridge, head into the shallow water on the eastern side of the lake. Stay at lake level rather than climbing onto the eastern highway.
  3. Follow the shoreline north along the foot of the cliffs east of Academy Gate Town. Look for a large group of Land Squirts gathered around a body.
  4. Approach from the edge of the group and collect the ashes from the body. Their clouds build poison, so leave the mist before stopping to heal or check your inventory.

Notes

  • Costs 240 HP instead of FP and summons three Land Squirts. Have more HP than the payment available and heal afterward when safe.
  • They appear near the rebirth monument and move very slowly. Where they start matters more than with a summon that can quickly chase an enemy.
  • Their mist deals physical damage and builds Poison. Holding a susceptible enemy among several overlapping clouds can make the group more useful.
  • They can suffer Poison and Scarlet Rot, unlike most spirits. When afflicted, they can burst and spread Poison buildup to nearby targets, including the player.
  • Do not stand in the spreading cloud just because it came from your own summon. Their status interaction can create a hazard as well as an attack opportunity.
  • Upgrade them with Grave Glovewort. Their durability is less useful if the fight stays far from their slow-moving position.
  • Their ailment-triggered burst mainly spreads rapid Poison buildup; it is not a large direct-damage explosion like a fire jar.
  • They move extremely slowly rather than following you into every opening. In an open field, a monument placed away from the fight can leave them out of range even when your own summoning position looked close.
  • Their mist's physical damage can still hurt a Poison-immune enemy. Poison immunity removes the ailment, not the entire attack.
  • Upgrades through Roderika to +10 with Grave Glovewort, finishing with a Great Grave Glovewort. Reinforcement does not increase the summoning payment.
  • Requires Spirit Calling Bell and an area where the rebirth-monument icon allows summoning. The ash remains reusable, but you cannot repeatedly replace fallen spirits during the same encounter.
