About this spirit

Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell.

Use to summon the spirits of two Leyndell soldiers.

Spirits of soldiers each equipped with a spear and greatshield.

The soldiers of Leyndell fight their battles defensively. During the Shattering, they were the ramparts that fortified the royal capital.

Starting Site of Grace: Sainted Hero's Grave

1. Reach Sainted Hero's Grave on the plateau west of Rampartside Path. Pass the Black Knife Assassin outside, take the lift and activate the grace.
2. Follow the descending passage. Lead the dark, invulnerable Imps into the circles of golden light before attacking them.
3. Continue past the room with the stairs and take the passage at its eastern end. Go down to the chamber with pillars around a sandy central floor.
4. Stay against the edge and walk around to the corpse. Loot the Leyndell Soldier Ashes before stepping into the sand, which collapses into the room below.
5. If you fall through first, work back around the dungeon to return above. The Ancient Hero of Zamor boss reward is a different spirit.

Notes

• Summons two soldiers with spears and greatshields. They block and thrust rather than relying on the reckless rush of lightly armored foot soldiers.
• Their shields work best against ordinary attacks from the front. Attacks from behind, broad elemental attacks and blows reaching around the guard remain dangerous.
• They can hold an enemy in place while you attack, but their formation does not guarantee permanent attention. Keep enough space to avoid drawing an attack through both soldiers onto yourself.
• The spears and shields are their equipment. They do not inherit your own spear, Guard Boost, armor or weapon enchantment.
• The corpse is beside the sandy collapsing floor in Sainted Hero's Grave. Stay on the edge to collect it before falling into the room below.
• The dungeon boss awards Ancient Dragon Knight Kristoff, a separate spirit. It is optional for this corpse pickup.
• Costs 64 FP for the whole summon. Upgrade with Grave Glovewort through +10 at Roderika's spirit tuning, rather than using Ghost Glovewort or reinforcing the ashes at a blacksmith.
• The ashes are reusable. You need the Spirit Calling Bell and an area where the rebirth-monument icon allows Spirit Ashes; owning enough FP does not allow summoning everywhere.
