About this spirit
Costs 104 FP and summons a Mausoleum Knight with a greatshield, spear and short teleports. Upgrade her with Ghost Glovewort to +10.
She can throw spectral lances at distant enemies, then use her shield and spear in close combat. This gives her more ways to stay involved than a summon that only chases with a short weapon.
Her teleports help her avoid hits, but an enemy can turn toward you while she disappears. Her durability does not guarantee that she will hold its attention without interruption.

In-game description
Legendary ashen remains.
Use to summon the spirit of Lhutel the Headless.
Spirit of a headless knight who leads the mausoleum soldiers.
Wields a lance enrobed in Death and hurls spectral lances at foes.
Lhutel sacrificed her life so that in Death she could continue to protect a soulless demigod until their revival, earning her the hero's honor of Erdtree Burial.
Where to find
Tombsward Catacombs
Weeping Peninsula
Starting Site of Grace: Tombsward Catacombs
- Cross into Weeping Peninsula and reach the Church of Pilgrimage on the northern high ground. Head south toward the Minor Erdtree, looking behind the broken stone arch at the cliff for Tombsward Catacombs' doors.
- Activate the grace and follow the main passage past the optional Stonesword Key room. That room contains a cookbook and is unnecessary for Lhutel.
- At the locked boss door, take the doorway on the right and continue through the skeleton chambers. Strike a fallen skeleton again as it begins to revive if you want it to stay down.
- When the flame corridor comes into view, wait for a pause and run to the alcove on the right. Wait for the next pause before moving into the pillar room, then move right out of its other flame jet.
- Strike the fire pillar to lower it. Step onto its top and trigger it to rise, using it as a lift to the upper walkway.
- Follow the upper corridors past the skeletons to the statue and lever. Pull the lever, then return down to the previously locked boss door; rest at the entrance first if you need your flasks back.
- Defeat the Cemetery Shade to receive Lhutel the Headless. You do not need to spend a Stonesword Key or clear the optional cookbook room.
Notes
- Costs 104 FP and summons a Mausoleum Knight with a greatshield, spear and short teleports. Upgrade her with Ghost Glovewort to +10.
- She can throw spectral lances at distant enemies, then use her shield and spear in close combat. This gives her more ways to stay involved than a summon that only chases with a short weapon.
- Her teleports help her avoid hits, but an enemy can turn toward you while she disappears. Her durability does not guarantee that she will hold its attention without interruption.
- Her attacks can build Death Blight. Ordinary enemies and bosses are immune to that status, so judge her regular damage and survival rather than expecting instant-death procs against them.
- One of the six summons counted for the Legendary Ashen Remains achievement or trophy. Named summons such as Banished Knight Oleg are not automatically part of that same list.
- The optional Stonesword Key room in Tombsward Catacombs is unrelated to her reward. The Cemetery Shade boss must be defeated; collecting the dungeon's cookbook alone does not award her.
