They circle and bite from several directions. Repeated hits can interrupt smaller enemies with low resistance to stagger.

A large enemy that withstands their bites can catch several wolves with one wide swing. Their numbers do not guarantee that every attack will be interrupted.

In-game description

Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell.

Use to summon the spirits of three lone wolves.

Spirits of wolves chased from their pack. They later encountered a nameless Tarnished, who welcomed them as hunting companions.

The wolf spirits overwhelm enemies with their agility, aiding the summoner in combat.

Starting Site of Grace: Church of Elleh

  1. Rest at Gatefront or another eligible early grace and accept Melina's accord to receive Torrent's whistle.
  2. Fast travel back to the Church of Elleh at night. Speak to the blue witch sitting on the ruined wall and confirm that you can call the spectral steed.
  3. She gives you both the Spirit Calling Bell and the Lone Wolf Ashes. Exhaust the conversation before leaving.

Roundtable Hold

Starting Site of Grace: Table of Lost Grace

Before you go

  • Progress past the missed Church of Elleh encounter.
  1. Visit the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold after missing the witch encounter.
  2. Buy the Lone Wolf Ashes for 500 runes. If you also missed the Spirit Calling Bell, purchase that separately before trying to summon.

Notes

  • Costs 55 FP and summons three wolves despite the singular item name. Upgrade the whole pack with Grave Glovewort.
  • They circle and bite from several directions. Repeated hits can interrupt smaller enemies with low resistance to stagger.
  • A large enemy that withstands their bites can catch several wolves with one wide swing. Their numbers do not guarantee that every attack will be interrupted.
  • The Spirit Calling Bell and a permitted summoning area are both required. Look for the white rebirth-monument symbol; ordinary cooperative multiplayer does not allow these Spirit Ashes.
  • Renna gives both the bell and wolves at the Church of Elleh after you receive Torrent. Missing that meeting does not permanently remove the items.
  • The Twin Maiden Husks sell the wolves for 500 runes after the missed encounter. Buy the bell separately too if you did not receive it.
