About this spirit
Summons five headless soldiers: a sword user, two greatsword users and two warpick users. This is a mixed melee group rather than five copies of one weapon.
Their short teleports help them close gaps and evade some attacks. They are still vulnerable between those movements, and a broad attack can catch several together.
The different weapons provide repeated physical pressure that can interrupt lighter enemies. A boss that resists interruption will not necessarily be held in the same way.

In-game description
Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell.
Use to summon the spirits of five mausoleum soldiers.
Spirits of five headless soldiers who confound foes by disappearing and reappearing at will.
The mausoleum is where the bodies of soulless demigods are lain to rest, and these soldiers followed their masters into Death by severing their own heads from their bodies.
Where to find
Northern cliff beyond the walking mausoleum
Deeproot Depths
Starting Site of Grace: The Nameless Eternal City
- Defeat Starscourge Radahn at the Radahn Festival in Redmane Castle. His defeat opens the starfall crater in Limgrave; it is not the sealed Siofra River overlook reached from the Four Belfries.
- Return to the Mistwood near Fort Haight and find the new crater marked by floating rocks. Use the descending ledges and openings to enter Nokron, Eternal City.
- Follow the rooftops down into Nokron's streets, then continue to the Mimic Tear boss. Defeat it and cross the long bridge beyond the arena.
- Leave the bridge on the left where it opens into woodland. Follow the western cliff to Ancestral Woods grace, overlooking the lower rooftops.
- From the upper woodland, go toward the trees beside Hallowhorn Grounds and the Spirit Jellyfish along the northern cliff. Use the lower ledge below the edge, then follow the descending path into the cave to Aqueduct-Facing Cliffs grace. You do not need to light the ancestor pillars.
- Leave the cave toward the aqueduct. Drop onto the stone support leading to the building, then onto the lower ledge. A Crucible Knight patrols nearby, so wait for an opening before moving across.
- Continue toward the building with water pouring out. Another Crucible Knight stands by the waterfall. Go north through the water channel, turn into the area on the right and climb the stairs through the arch. D's twin sits near this approach to the boss.
- Defeat both Valiant Gargoyles. Afterward, activate Great Waterfall Basin grace and rest in the coffin beside the waterfall to reach Deeproot Depths.
- From Great Waterfall Crest, head west onto the huge roots. Use the root descending on the left to cross the gap, then continue west past the giant ants to Deeproot Depths grace beside the Finger Reader. The Erdtree Avatar and the ant cave are optional detours.
- Head north into the shallow water and ruins. The map is in the gazebo. Continue west beneath the large root and past the ghostly soldiers to The Nameless Eternal City grace beside an arch.
- Head north through the ruined city toward the walking mausoleum and the far cliff. Watch for Basilisks in the grass and a Mausoleum Knight with a greatbow.
- Deal with the archer before approaching the edge. Loot the body at the northern cliff for the ashes; an arrow to your back can knock you off if you stop too soon.
- You do not need to bring down the Walking Mausoleum or finish Fia's quest. Collect the corpse reward before moving away from the dangerous cliff edge.
Notes
- Summons five headless soldiers: a sword user, two greatsword users and two warpick users. This is a mixed melee group rather than five copies of one weapon.
- Their short teleports help them close gaps and evade some attacks. They are still vulnerable between those movements, and a broad attack can catch several together.
- The different weapons provide repeated physical pressure that can interrupt lighter enemies. A boss that resists interruption will not necessarily be held in the same way.
- They do not form the same guarded wall as a greatshield group. Attack alongside them instead of assuming their numbers let them handle the whole fight.
- The headless appearance does not mean they revive after death or receive an extra summon attempt. Losing one reduces the group for the rest of that call.
- The pickup is a fixed corpse at Deeproot Depths' northern cliff. The Basilisks and greatbow knight guard the approach, rather than dropping the ashes randomly.
- Costs 75 FP for the whole summon. Upgrade with Grave Glovewort through +10 at Roderika's spirit tuning, rather than using Ghost Glovewort or reinforcing the ashes at a blacksmith.
- The ashes are reusable. You need the Spirit Calling Bell and an area where the rebirth-monument icon allows Spirit Ashes; owning enough FP does not allow summoning everywhere.
