About this set

The four ordinary pieces weigh 12.1, give 11 poise and add 243 Immunity. Their high status resistance helps delay Poison and Scarlet Rot, but their low physical protection and poise leave you vulnerable to ordinary attacks.

The normal helmet, body, arms and legs are one fixed Seethewater Cave pickup. You do not need to defeat the cave boss or farm the worshippers.

Mushroom Crown is an alternative helmet found in Lake of Rot. It replaces Mushroom Head and is much heavier; do not add both helmets when calculating the outfit's weight or resistance.

Where to find

Seethewater Cave

Mt. Gelmir

Starting Site of Grace: Seethewater Cave

Before you go

  • Bring two Stonesword Keys.
  1. From Erdtree-Gazing Hill on Altus Plateau, ride north through Wyndham Ruins and enter the ravine at Seethewater River. Follow the ravine north to the cave entrance watched by Basilisks. Stay clear of their Death Blight clouds.
  2. Spend two Stonesword Keys at the imp seal, enter Seethewater Cave and activate its grace. Bring a light, Neutralizing Boluses for poison or another way to cure it, and enough healing for the flooded passages.
  3. Descend past the first soldier. At the early fork, the short right-hand room is a dead end; take the other tunnel to the first chasm and use its ledges to reach the poison below.
  4. Follow the flooded cavern, watching for blobs dropping from the ceiling and mushroom-covered enemies attacking from above. At the drop farther along, use the ledges to reach the lower fork.
  5. Take the southwest tunnel up past the rats. It returns to the higher ledge where the mushroom-covered enemies were firing at you. Continue past the corpse with a Golden Rune to the chamber containing a giant poison flower and several worshippers.
  6. Loot the corpse beside the giant flower for Mushroom Head, Body, Arms and Legs together. You can collect them without defeating the flower if you reach the corpse safely. The northern tunnel from the lower fork leads deeper toward the boss and is not needed for the outfit.

Lake of Rot

Starting Site of Grace: Lake of Rot Shoreside

Before you go

  • Reach Lake of Rot; the route below uses Ranni's quest.
  1. Start at Caria Manor in northwestern Liurnia. Defeat Royal Knight Loretta and enter Three Sisters behind the manor. Visit Ranni at the top of Ranni's Rise and agree to serve her. Speak to the spirits downstairs, then return to Ranni to finish the conversation.
  2. Defeat Starscourge Radahn at Redmane Castle. Return to southern Mistwood and find the new crater near Fort Haight, marked by floating rocks. Descend using its ledges and enter Nokron, Eternal City.
  3. Work across Nokron's rooftops to the streets and continue to Mimic Tear. Defeat it and cross the long bridge beyond its arena. Leave the bridge on the left into the woods, then follow the cliff to Ancestral Woods grace.
  4. Jump from the cliff beside that grace onto the roof below. Follow the rooftops and narrow building ledges into Night's Sacred Ground. Continue across the broken stone arch into the church, descend inside, and leave onto the lower street. Follow that street to the enormous seated figure and open the chest underneath it for Fingerslayer Blade.
  5. Return the blade to Ranni at her tower. Before doing this, finish any remaining Seluvis rewards you want. Rest after speaking to Ranni, then visit Renna's Rise, the northern tower in Three Sisters. Climb it and use the sending gate to Ainsel River Main.
  6. Collect Miniature Ranni from the coffin near where you arrive. Rest at Ainsel River Main and select Talk to miniature Ranni repeatedly until she answers. Finish her dialogue.
  7. Follow the river through Uhl Palace Ruins, using cover against the hanging creature's projectiles. Continue through the ant tunnel to Nokstella. Follow the river at ground level through the city and take the lift in the small building at the far end to Nokstella Waterfall Basin.
  8. Beyond Nokstella Waterfall Basin, follow the tunnel into the red-lit area with the Baleful Shadow and take the lift beyond it down to Lake of Rot. Activate Lake of Rot Shoreside before entering the water. Dark Moon Ring and the fight with Astel are not required for this pickup.
  9. Cross toward the ruined building in the southeastern part of the lake. Stop on raised ground to manage buildup, and clear Scarlet Rot when it triggers. Do not roll through the lake, since coating your clothes can keep building rot after you leave it.
  10. Watch for Basilisks around the ruin. South of the building, climb the fallen pillar that rests against a rock. From that rock, make a running jump north onto the leaning stone beam.
  11. Jump from the beam to the next pillar and onto the top of the ruined wall. Follow the wall west, then look below for the column with a corpse hanging over its edge.
  12. Drop carefully onto that column and loot Mushroom Crown. This helmet is separate from the four-piece pickup in Seethewater Cave.

Notes

  • The four ordinary pieces weigh 12.1, give 11 poise and add 243 Immunity. Their high status resistance helps delay Poison and Scarlet Rot, but their low physical protection and poise leave you vulnerable to ordinary attacks.
  • The normal helmet, body, arms and legs are one fixed Seethewater Cave pickup. You do not need to defeat the cave boss or farm the worshippers.
  • Mushroom Crown is an alternative helmet found in Lake of Rot. It replaces Mushroom Head and is much heavier; do not add both helmets when calculating the outfit's weight or resistance.
  • Only the crown provides the 10% direct-damage bonus for 20 seconds after nearby Poison or Scarlet Rot. It works without the matching body, arms or legs.
  • The outfit does not cure ailments, grant complete immunity or add a hidden matching-set bonus. None of these pieces can be tailored.
