In-game description
Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell.
Use to summon the spirits of three little living jars.
Summoning consumes HP rather than FP.
These reckless spirits sacrifice themselves to vanquish their summoner's foes, and explode upon death.
Though their bravery is admirable, their explosions can harm friend as well as foe, and they will also immediately explode on contact with fire.
"Tell the others—tell them how brightly a fire jar burns."
Where to find
Auriza Side Tomb
Capital Outskirts
Starting Site of Grace: Auriza Side Tomb
- From Outer Wall Battleground, ride east under the bridge leading toward Leyndell. Take the northern dungeon entrance in the low ground for Auriza Side Tomb, rather than Auriza Hero's Grave to the south.
- Go downstairs past the boss doors and through the small jars to the first chest. Let its mist move you. Descend the next stairs into the large room, then take the southwest exit to the watery room.
- Turn right beneath the platform and follow the northwest passage to the imp room. Strike the false wall in its southwest archway and use the chest downstairs behind it.
- From the balcony where you arrive, follow the short northeast passage, climb the next stairs and drop to the lower room. Go through the southeast doorway and back toward the room with the false wall. Use the chest behind that wall again.
- Drop from the balcony and use the other chest up the small stairs at the northwest end. If this takes you to two large living jars, use that chest to return, use the false-wall chest again, then try the small-stair chest once more.
- You need the enclosed version of the room with small exploding jars and a ladder. Climb that ladder and pull the lever. Drop down, climb the southeast stairs and use the chest at the top to return near the entrance.
- Go back up toward the grace and enter the opened boss doors. Defeat the Grave Warden Duelist and its jar companions to receive the ashes.
Notes
- Costs 135 HP instead of FP and summons three small Living Jars. Have enough HP to survive the payment and heal when safe.
- They explode on death and can also explode immediately when struck by fire. Their melee attacks deal physical damage, while the explosions deal fire damage.
- The explosions can harm friends as well as enemies, including the player. Keep some distance instead of standing inside the group to wait for the blast.
- Their slow movement and self-destruction make them brief pressure rather than a dependable companion for a long later phase.
- Upgrade them with Grave Glovewort. Upgrading does not let you manually choose when each jar explodes.
- Auriza Side Tomb uses similar rooms joined by mist-filled chests. The enclosed room with the ladder leads to the required lever; Auriza Hero's Grave is a different dungeon.
- Their death explosions spend the individual jars. Once a jar has destroyed itself, it does not reform into another attacker during the same summon.
- An enemy using Fire can detonate them before they reach the intended target. Their vulnerability to early detonation is different from a durable summon drawing attention through a long fight.
- Upgrades through Roderika to +10 with Grave Glovewort, finishing with a Great Grave Glovewort. Reinforcement does not increase the summoning payment.
- Requires Spirit Calling Bell and an area where the rebirth-monument icon allows summoning. The ash remains reusable, but you cannot repeatedly replace fallen spirits during the same encounter.
