Starting Site of Grace: Rotview Balcony
Before you go
- Bring one Stonesword Key.
- From Rotview Balcony, look down toward Forsaken Ruins immediately below and descend to the ruined buildings.
- Find the cellar blocked by an imp seal and spend one Stonesword Key to open it. Go downstairs and open the chest for the sword.
Notes
- Requires 10 Strength, 12 Dexterity and 14 Intelligence, and weighs 3. Dexterity provides the strongest Physical scaling, Strength contributes less, and Intelligence improves the smaller Magic portion.
- Intelligence does not strengthen the whole weapon. Its weaker coefficient and smaller Magic base make Physical investment more important for ordinary attack power at many practical stat spreads.
- Applies 66 fixed Sleep buildup on ordinary full-status hits. Arcane does not increase it because the weapon has no Arcane scaling.
- Mists of Slumber costs 20 FP and releases a short forward Sleep cloud. It also gives the sword 20 additional Sleep buildup for 30 seconds, making ordinary full-status hits 86 while the coating is active.
- The mist and sword coating are separate applications. The cloud can build Sleep without a damaging blade hit, while the coating lets later attacks keep adding buildup after the cloud fades.
- Sleep behavior depends on the target. Godskin enemies can fall fully asleep, many stronger enemies only stagger briefly, and immune enemies cannot be put to sleep.
- Damage can wake a fully sleeping enemy. Use the opening for positioning, healing or one prepared attack rather than assuming an entire long combo lands while the target stays asleep.
- The skill's coating is a Sleep effect, not a permanent Magic attack-power increase. Godfrey Icon does not apply because Mists of Slumber cannot be charged.
- Ordinary Sleep is different from Velvet Sword of St. Trina's Eternal Sleep. The similar weapons have different skill effects and enemy behavior.
- Uses Somber Smithing Stones to +10. Its skill and affinity are fixed, and grease or weapon enchantments cannot be applied.
- The Forsaken Ruins cellar needs one Stonesword Key and can be reached early. Neither Radahn nor a visit to St. Trina in the Realm of Shadow is required.
