Whip bestrewn with rotting, misshapen teeth. Filthy and seething with disease, the teeth are embedded in the whip and dose the victim with deadly poison upon each strike.
As the wounds ripen they grow inflamed and ooze pus. The flesh of shamans was said to meld harmoniously with others.

Starting Site of Grace: Bonny Village
Before you go
- To enter the Realm of Shadow, defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohg's arena at Mohgwyn Palace.
- To enter the Realm of Shadow, defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohg's arena at Mohgwyn Palace.
- From Highroad Cross in Scadu Altus, follow the road east to Moorth Ruins and activate the grace beside the cross.
- Pass through the large stone arch east-southeast of the grace. At the house ahead, turn left toward the leaning tower. Avoid the large open shaft behind the house, which is too deep for a direct drop.
- Find the smaller gap between the broken building and the rock wall in front of the leaning tower. Drop onto the balcony-like ledge, turn right past the dogs and follow the cave inward.
- Use the back-left ledges in the chamber to descend onto the lower roof. The shrine is a landmark; its chest is optional for reaching Bonny Village.
- To continue east, drop from the lower roof to the ground and take the cave beside the building on the left. Follow it to the long ladder and climb out of the well at Bonny Village grace.
- From Bonny Village, follow the village path toward the suspended bridge on its eastern side. Cross this bridge to reach the Whipping Hut.
- Enter the hut and loot the corpse inside for the whip.
Notes
- Requires 10 Strength and 24 Dexterity, and weighs 3. Deals Strike Physical damage, with stronger Dexterity than Strength scaling.
- Applies 66 fixed Deadly Poison buildup on ordinary full-status hits. Arcane does not improve this buildup because the whip has no Arcane scaling.
- Its Deadly Poison drains health faster than ordinary Poison but lasts 30 seconds. Buildup fills the meter first; a single light hit does not automatically start the ailment.
- Painful Strike costs 16 FP and uses the whip to damage the target. A successful hit also reduces stamina recovery by 8 points per second for 30 seconds.
- That stamina penalty is a fixed amount, not a universal percentage of every target's recovery. It does not directly lower maximum stamina or become a damage-over-time effect.
- Stamina recovery and stance are separate. The debuff does not mean every later hit deals extra stance damage or that a boss is guaranteed to stop attacking.
- Shard of Alexander improves the direct skill damage. Godfrey Icon does not because it cannot be charged, and damage bonuses do not increase the fixed Poison buildup.
- Like other whips, it cannot perform ordinary backstabs or ripostes. Its whip strikes cannot be parried, but a target can still block or avoid them.
- Uses Somber Smithing Stones to +10. Its skill and affinity are fixed, and grease or weapon enchantments cannot be applied.
- The Whipping Hut corpse is a fixed pickup east of Bonny Village. The villagers do not need to drop it randomly, and the bridge route is different from entering the cathedral.
