With its lord vanquished, and its wings wounded, the hawk perished as it solemnly gazed at its former home.

The storm is a warhawk's cradle.

Before you go

Enter Stormveil Castle and reach the large courtyard near Liftside Chamber. Look for the small side room off the courtyard containing a painting and inspect Prophecy before leaving.
Travel to the Weeping Peninsula. From its main road, take the western route toward the northern hill and Church of Pilgrimage.
Walk north from the church to the cliff overlooking the sea and Stormveil in the distance. Look for the seated painter's spirit near the edge.
Approach and wait for the apparition to disappear, then collect the glowing reward for the Warhawk Ashes. The painter only appears after you have inspected the painting.

Wait for the painter's apparition to disappear and collect the item it leaves. The reward is not a drop from killing a bird near the cliff.
