Crystal Sword
Sword fashioned from pure crystal; a deed impossible for a human. Enwreathed with powerful magic, its attack scales with intelligence. The inscrutable Crystalians have but one clear purpose; to safeguard their crystals unto the end. Skill
Skill favored by dexterous warriors. Slash foes as your body spins. Additional input allows for a follow-up attack.Ash of War: Spinning Slash
Where to find
Liurnia of the Lakes
Starting Site of Grace: Village of the Albinaurics
- From the southwestern Liurnia lake, enter the dark area beneath the enormous plateau and follow the rising village path to Village of the Albinaurics grace. This village is below the plateau, rather than on the Moonlight Altar above it.
- Go past the village well and cross the nearby wooden bridge onto the separate rocky islet. Watch for the Albinauric spellcaster firing from the far side.
- Search the northern cliff edge of that islet and loot Crystal Sword from the corpse. The large stone bridge toward Omenkiller is a different path; that boss and Albus's medallion conversation are optional for the sword.
Notes
- Requires 13 Strength, 10 Dexterity and 15 Intelligence, and weighs 4.5. Its physical damage favors Strength over Dexterity, while Intelligence improves its Magic portion.
- This is a straight sword with physical and Magic damage. Meeting the Intelligence requirement does not turn its entire attack into Magic damage, so an enemy can reduce each damage portion differently.
- Has fixed Spinning Slash, costing six FP for the first input and 12 for its follow-up. The spinning cuts use the sword's attack power rather than Sorcery Scaling from an equipped staff.
- Upgrade it with Somber Smithing Stones to +10. It cannot use a replacement Ash of War or affinity, and grease or a weapon enchantment cannot be applied.
- Has a normal critical rating of 100 and no native status buildup. Rotten Crystal Sword is a separate weapon found much later; this version does not inflict Scarlet Rot.
- Holding it does not strengthen crystal sorceries. The village corpse is a fixed pickup, without an enemy-drop roll or requirement to defeat Omenkiller.
