Weeping Peninsula

Starting Site of Grace: South of the Lookout Tower

  1. From southern Limgrave, follow the road to the Bridge of Sacrifice. Cross into Weeping Peninsula and activate the grace beyond the guarded bridge.
  2. Continue along the road toward South of the Lookout Tower, then head west into the forest. Find the ruined stone enclosure called Demi-Human Forest Ruins.
  3. A large Demi-Human Queen is inside with smaller Demi-Humans around her. Avoid bringing the whole group onto you at once, and move around the queen when she begins casting.
  4. Defeat the queen to receive Demi-Human Queen's Staff and Crystal Burst. These are guaranteed rewards from her, rather than rare drops from the small enemies.

Notes

  • Intelligence is its casting stat, and its scaling is particularly strong at lower Intelligence. At +25 and 40 Intelligence, it has 235 sorcery scaling, slightly ahead of Academy Glintstone Staff's 233. At 45 Intelligence, Academy is ahead, so Demi-Human Queen's Staff is not the strongest general-purpose choice throughout an entire Intelligence build.
  • It needs only 10 Intelligence to equip. Each sorcery still has its own requirements, and owning the staff does not unlock a spell automatically.
  • The Demi-Human Queen at Demi-Human Forest Ruins drops a fixed copy. This is not a rare drop you need to farm from the ordinary Demi-Humans around her.
  • It starts with No Skill and can use the compatible Spinning Weapon Ash of War. Upgrade it with Smithing Stones, up to +25.
  • Its particularly strong early casting gains slow after 20 Intelligence and again after 40. Intelligence still improves it beyond those points, but the early advantage does not stay the same as you level.
  • Strength is only a wielding requirement here, rather than a second Sorcery Scaling attribute. Its casting requirements are 6 Strength and 10 Intelligence.
  • Crystal Burst drops with the staff but requires 18 Intelligence to cast. Being able to equip the staff at 10 Intelligence does not let you cast that reward immediately.
  • It has no special damage bonus for Demi-Human spells or Crystal Burst. Its usefulness comes from its casting curve, rather than a hidden spell-school passive.
  • Grease and weapon enchantments cannot be applied to the staff itself.
