Those who saw the decline of the Erdtree in the fallen leaves long ago braced themselves for the weakening of Order, and embraced a strict faith. And then, they made to serve a new god.

Starting Site of Grace: Recluses' River Downstream

Before you go

  • To enter the Realm of Shadow, defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohg's arena at Mohgwyn Palace.
  • Access the Realm of Shadow and reach Recluses' River Downstream.
  1. For the main Shadow Keep approach, defeat the Golden Hippopotamus and activate Main Gate Plaza grace. Follow the left-hand route through the keep to the upper courtyard lined with burning boats. Watch for the Militiamen hiding beside them.
  2. At the southeastern end of the boat courtyard, find the ladder beside the outer railing and descend to the water. Walk behind the waterfall and take the second ladder down to the painting room.
  3. Strike the false wall beside the Domain of Dragons painting. Follow the revealed passage and rest in the stone coffin to arrive at Castle Watering Hole.
  4. Head south past Ruins of Unte, avoiding the active Furnace Golem. Follow the eastern, left-hand cliff beside the waterfall to Recluses' River Upstream grace.
  5. Continue south along the cliff ledges. Where the route changes sides, jump across to the western, right-hand bank and follow it down to Recluses' River Downstream grace. Clear nearby Man-Flies before attempting the drops.
  6. From Recluses' River Downstream, head northeast past the Man-Flies to the cliff edge. Look below for the pale gravestones projecting from the rock.
  7. Drop down the gravestones one at a time and stop on the lower cliff ledge holding the corpse. Loot Dryleaf Seal before continuing all the way down to the river.
  8. Dryleaf Dane's clothing lies under a nearby waterfall at river level. That is a separate pickup, and neither Rakshasa nor the Darklight Catacombs boss is required for the seal.

Notes

  • Increases damage from Discus of Light, Triple Rings of Light, Radagon's Rings of Light and Multilayered Ring of Light by 15%.
  • This is a bonus for those ring incantations, not every spell that deals Holy damage or mentions the Erdtree. The supported spell list matters more than a similar name or color.
  • Its own incantation scaling uses Faith. It does not replace an individual spell's Intelligence requirement, which matters for several of the Golden Order ring spells.
  • It has No Skill and cannot use Ashes of War. Upgrade it with Smithing Stones, up to +25. The pickup is on the lower river ledge reached by descending the gravestones, rather than beside the painter's position.
  • Requires 8 Strength and 27 Faith and weighs 1.5. Strength affects its melee attack, while Faith supplies ordinary casting scaling.
  • Its 15% bonus works while held in the other hand. Two held copies multiply to a 32.25% damage bonus for the four supported ring spells.
  • For Discus of Light, Triple Rings of Light and Radagon's Rings of Light, its passive stacks with Golden Order Seal. The combined 15% and 10% bonuses increase applicable damage by 26.5%.
  • It does not boost Light of Miquella, Golden Arcs, Giant Golden Arc, Wrath of Gold or Wrath from Afar. Its older connection to Miquella does not mean every Miquella-related incantation is covered.
  • Its Faith scaling is relatively strong at moderate Faith, while other seals can overtake it at higher investment. The ring bonus remains useful in the other hand even when another seal supplies your main casting scaling.
  • The passive is unchanged by reinforcement. You do not have to upgrade an offhand copy merely to get its 15% ring bonus.
  • Dryleaf Dane's duel does not award this seal. His hat and martial arts are separate rewards; the seal is on a corpse beside Recluses' River.
