Capital Outskirts
Starting Site of Grace: Minor Erdtree Church
Before you go
- Reach Altus Plateau.
- Reach Altus Plateau using the Grand Lift of Dectus with both medallion halves, or defeat Magma Wyrm Makar at the top of Ruin-Strewn Precipice.
- From Outer Wall Phantom Tree in the Capital Outskirts, follow the road south and look for Minor Erdtree Church. This is the small ruined church outside Leyndell, rather than the capital's cathedral or sanctuary.
- Enter the church, activate its grace and loot the corpse beside the little tree for Golden Order Seal. The Guardians can be avoided, and no capital boss is required.
Notes
- Its incantation scaling uses Intelligence and Faith together. This is useful for a hybrid caster, but you still need to meet each spell's individual requirements.
- Increases damage from supported Golden Order incantations by 10%. A Golden Order utility spell does not become stronger in every respect just because it shares the school's name.
- Direct healing and weapon enchantments use the Faith contribution to incantation scaling. Intelligence can raise the displayed total without increasing those particular effects by the same amount.
- It weighs nothing. You can carry it without adding equipment weight, although that does not remove its stat requirements or the need to keep the right catalyst available when casting.
- It has No Skill. Upgrade it with Somber Smithing Stones, up to +10.
- Requires 17 Intelligence and 17 Faith and weighs nothing. Both attributes contribute to damage-spell scaling, including spells whose own requirements mention only Faith.
- The 10% damage bonus covers Discus of Light, Triple Rings of Light, Radagon's Rings of Light and Litany of Proper Death. It does not increase the damage of every Holy incantation.
- The passive works while held in the other hand. Two held copies multiply to a 21% bonus, while Radiant Gold Mask can add its separate applicable bonus.
- Dryleaf Seal overlaps on the three Golden Order ring spells. Holding Golden Order Seal and Dryleaf Seal together multiplies their 10% and 15% bonuses to 26.5% for those spells.
- Multilayered Ring of Light receives Dryleaf Seal's bonus but not Golden Order Seal's. Litany of Proper Death is the reverse: Golden Order Seal helps it, while Dryleaf Seal does not.
- Order's Blade still uses only the Faith contribution when calculating its coating. Law of Regression, Immutable Shield and other utility effects do not become proportionally stronger from a bigger displayed casting total.
- The fixed school bonus does not require reinforcing an offhand copy. Reinforce the seal you cast with to improve its actual casting scaling.
