Sacred seal made from Gravel Stone thought to be an ancient dragon scale. Enhances Dragon Cult incantations of the Royal Capital.

The worship of the ancient dragons does not conflict with belief in the Erdtree. After all, this seal, and lightning itself, are both imbued with gold.

Starting Site of Grace: Fortified Manor, First Floor

Before you go

  • Enter Leyndell while it is still the Royal Capital.
  1. From West Capital Rampart in Leyndell, use the lower roofs to reach Fortified Manor and activate Fortified Manor, First Floor. The manor resembles Roundtable Hold; the nearby giant dragon foot confirms the correct street.
  2. From Fortified Manor, First Floor, leave through the building's main entrance onto the street near the giant dragon's foot.
  3. Look left for the spear-wielding Leyndell Knight. A nearby archer can interfere, so clear it or move the spear knight out of its line of fire.
  4. Defeat this particular spear knight to receive Gravel Stone Seal. It is a guaranteed drop from this enemy, not from every Leyndell Knight.

Notes

  • Increases damage from Dragon Cult incantations by 15%. These are the lightning-focused incantations; Dragon Communion breaths belong to a different spell group.
  • Its incantation scaling uses Faith. The bonus to Dragon Cult spell damage does not give a general boost to Lightning-damage weapons or their Ashes of War.
  • The Fortified Manor spear knight is a specific carrier. Do not assume that any Leyndell Knight drops the seal.
  • Collect it while Leyndell is still the Royal Capital. Once defeating Maliketh changes the city, the relevant knight is no longer available in the same layout.
  • It has No Skill. Upgrade it with Smithing Stones, up to +25.
  • Requires 4 Strength and 18 Faith and weighs 1.5. Faith supplies its casting scaling; Strength shown on the seal does not add a second ordinary casting attribute.
  • Its 15% passive works while held in the other hand. Two held copies multiply to a 32.25% bonus for supported direct spell damage.
  • Supported attacks include Lightning Spear, Honed Bolt, Lightning Strike, Frozen Lightning Spear, Ancient Dragons' Lightning Spear and Strike, Lansseax's Glaive, Fortissax's Lightning Spear, Death Lightning and Knight's Lightning Spear.
  • The school bonus does not strengthen Electrify Armament's coating or improve the defensive effects of Dragonbolt Blessing. Those spells belonging to the same tradition does not make the passive a universal increase to every effect.
  • Placidusax's Ruin and Bayle's incantations are not covered by this Dragon Cult bonus. A dragon in a spell's name or a Lightning component is not enough.
  • The passive stays at 15% regardless of reinforcement. If another seal has stronger casting scaling for your attributes, cast with that one and keep Gravel Stone Seal held for the school bonus.
  • Its carrier is a one-time reward source. Ordinary spear knights elsewhere do not replace the missed Leyndell pickup after Maliketh.
