About this item

Creates a purple haze with the same 29 base buildup per tick and Arcane scaling as ordinary Sleep Pot, but applies Eternal Sleep instead.

Eternal Sleep can leave susceptible ordinary enemies asleep even when hit. Stronger enemies may only stagger briefly, and immune enemies remain immune; it does not permanently disable every boss.

A normal throw costs 20 FP and uses a Ritual Pot. Ordinary Sleep Pot costs 9 FP and uses a Cracked Pot, so this is not a free upgrade to the same mixture.

In-game description

Craftable item prepared using a ritual pot.

Enchanted by the incantations of St. Trina.

Consumes FP. Throw at enemies to cause buildup of eternal sleep.

The weak are powerless to resist this velvety sleep, and will never be roused again.

Where to find

Crafting after obtaining St. Trina Disciple's Cookbook [1]

Cerulean Coast

Starting Site of Grace: Cerulean Coast Cross

Before you go

  • Crafting Kit
  • St. Trina Disciple's Cookbook [1]
  • Empty Ritual Pot
  • Ingredients for one pot: 1 Whiteflesh Mushroom and 1 Deep-Purple Lily
  1. From Castle Front, ride south to the crossroads, turn east and follow the road to the next fork. Take the right-hand dirt track, then the left fork downhill toward the southeast.
  2. Pass the bloodfiends and descend into the shallow poison area. Follow the lower path down toward the river rather than climbing toward the fort; watch for militia and poison traps along the descent.
  3. At the bottom is a shallow pool with a giant crab. Turn southwest into the opening in the cliff, continue through the cave past the Revered Spirit Ash chamber and activate Ellac River Cave grace.
  4. Leave by the southern cave exit and turn south along the river. Use Torrent to cross the successive rock ledges beside the waterfall, landing on the nearby rocks rather than jumping to the valley floor.
  5. Continue down the ledge path past the stone birds, watching for the living ones to attack. Drop down the short rock steps to Ellac River Downstream grace.
  6. From Downstream, continue south beside the lower falls. Cross the long rock pillar toward the east and use its far side to reach the lower water safely.
  7. The lower basin opens toward a Furnace Golem. Its fight is optional for reaching the coast, the friendly forager or the lightning-flower pond.
  8. Head through the eastern wooded side of the basin, then follow the passage southwest through the cliffs to Cerulean Coast grace. The blue-flowered field beyond confirms you have reached the coast.
  9. From Cerulean Coast grace, ride south through the blue flowers past the enormous stone coffins. Avoid or circle the Ghostflame Dragon if you do not want to fight.
  10. Continue south along the rising path to the roadside map stele. Beyond it the path bends west; look southeast for Miquella's Cross and activate Cerulean Coast Cross grace.
  11. Head north from the cross past the upright tombstones toward the enormous stone coffin. Watch for the floating lightning ball beyond the stones.
  12. Climb onto the coffin using the low end and nearby rocks. Go to its northern edge and jump across onto the adjoining plateau.
  13. Loot the corpse beneath the tree on that plateau for the cookbook. This route stays above the coast and does not descend into the Fissure.
  14. If needed, buy the Crafting Kit from Kale at Church of Elleh for 300 runes. Owning a cookbook alone does not open Item Crafting.
  15. Collect the listed ingredients and keep an empty Ritual Pot. Open Item Crafting outside combat and make Eternal Sleep Pot, then assign it to a quick-item slot or pouch.

Notes

  • Creates a purple haze with the same 29 base buildup per tick and Arcane scaling as ordinary Sleep Pot, but applies Eternal Sleep instead.
  • Eternal Sleep can leave susceptible ordinary enemies asleep even when hit. Stronger enemies may only stagger briefly, and immune enemies remain immune; it does not permanently disable every boss.
  • A normal throw costs 20 FP and uses a Ritual Pot. Ordinary Sleep Pot costs 9 FP and uses a Cracked Pot, so this is not a free upgrade to the same mixture.
  • The cloud lasts roughly three seconds. An enemy that immediately moves away may not receive enough buildup to trigger the status.
  • More Arcane increases buildup, rather than changing the kind of reaction an enemy is allowed to suffer. Damage bonuses do not convert directly into more Sleep buildup.
  • The recipe is on the Cerulean Coast above ground. You do not need to enter the Fissure, drink St. Trina's nectar or finish Thiollier's quest to obtain it.
  • Each craft uses 1 Whiteflesh Mushroom and 1 Deep-Purple Lily and occupies one empty Ritual Pot. The ingredients are spent, while throwing the pot returns its container for another mixture.
  • Other recipes using the same container type share that supply. The recipe remains unlocked after use, but an empty pot does not refill itself without another craft.
