About this item
A stronger base Fire explosion than ordinary Fire Pot, scaling mainly with Strength and more weakly with Dexterity. It does not use Faith scaling.
Costs no FP but occupies a Ritual Pot and spends an Old Fang. The ordinary Fire Pot is cheaper to prepare and uses a Cracked Pot instead.
Its connection to the Redmanes does not mean it applies Scarlet Rot. It deals Fire and has no innate bleed or rot buildup.

Where to find
Crafting after obtaining Armorer's Cookbook [4]
Caelid
Starting Site of Grace: Chamber Outside the Plaza
Before you go
- Crafting Kit
- Armorer's Cookbook [4]
- Empty Ritual Pot
- Ingredients for one pot: 2 Mushroom, 1 Smoldering Butterfly and 1 Old Fang
- Normal Redmane Castle state
- Explore Redmane Castle while its normal soldiers and doors are active.
- From Chamber Outside the Plaza, return to the castle buildings and head toward the western gatehouse, on the northwest side of the castle.
- Enter the gatehouse and loot the corpse holding the book.
- If the door is closed during the Radahn Festival, defeat Radahn, finish talking to Jerren in the castle chapel, then leave and reload the area. Return once the soldiers and normal castle layout are back.
- If Item Crafting is unavailable, buy the Crafting Kit from Kale at Church of Elleh for 300 runes. A cookbook supplies recipes, rather than replacing the kit.
- Collect the listed ingredients and keep an empty Ritual Pot. Outside combat, open Item Crafting and select Redmane Fire Pot.
- Equip the prepared pot in a quick-item slot or pouch so you can use it during a fight. Another craft needs fresh ingredients after the first has been thrown.
Notes
- A stronger base Fire explosion than ordinary Fire Pot, scaling mainly with Strength and more weakly with Dexterity. It does not use Faith scaling.
- Costs no FP but occupies a Ritual Pot and spends an Old Fang. The ordinary Fire Pot is cheaper to prepare and uses a Cracked Pot instead.
- Its connection to the Redmanes does not mean it applies Scarlet Rot. It deals Fire and has no innate bleed or rot buildup.
- Fire can remove an enemy's active Frostbite effect. That allows another frost buildup cycle while also ending the current vulnerability.
- The cookbook's gatehouse can be inaccessible during the Radahn Festival. Defeat Radahn, finish Jerren's chapel dialogue and reload the castle to restore its ordinary doors and enemies.
- One craft uses 2 Mushroom, 1 Smoldering Butterfly and 1 Old Fang. It occupies one empty Ritual Pot; throwing it frees that container for another recipe, while the ingredients are spent.
- Against enemies, Companion Jar increases its damage by 20%. Jar headgear adds 15%, or Greatjar adds 17%; the two pieces of headgear are alternatives. Companion Jar with Greatjar gives 40.4% more damage before other effects.
- Shard of Alexander and Godfrey Icon do not boost it as a weapon skill or charged spell. It is a thrown consumable with its own scaling, not an attack from your equipped weapon.
- Recipes using the same container type share the available empty containers. A Cracked Pot, Ritual Pot and Hefty Cracked Pot are different types and cannot substitute for one another.
