About this item
Deals Lightning damage, scaling mainly with Dexterity and more weakly with Strength. It does not scale with Faith like many Lightning incantations.
Costs no FP. The pot gives a ranged Lightning attack without a seal, spell slot or weapon enchantment.
Ancient Dragonbolt Pot has a stronger base Lightning hit but needs a Ritual Pot and Gravel Stone. This ordinary version uses the more common Cracked Pot supply.

Where to find
Crafting after obtaining Ancient Dragon Apostle's Cookbook [2]
Altus Plateau
Starting Site of Grace: Forest-Spanning Greatbridge
Before you go
- Crafting Kit
- Ancient Dragon Apostle's Cookbook [2]
- Empty Cracked Pot
- Ingredients for one pot: 1 Mushroom and 1 Fulgurbloom
- 4,500 runes
- Follow the Altus Plateau road toward the southern end of the broken Forest-Spanning Greatbridge.
- Rest at the grace on the bridge and approach the merchant camped nearby. Stay on this end of the bridge, beside the grace.
- Choose Purchase and buy the cookbook for 4,500 runes.
- If Item Crafting is unavailable, buy the Crafting Kit from Kale at Church of Elleh for 300 runes. A cookbook supplies recipes, rather than replacing the kit.
- Collect the listed ingredients and keep an empty Cracked Pot. Outside combat, open Item Crafting and select Lightning Pot.
- Equip the prepared pot in a quick-item slot or pouch so you can use it during a fight. Another craft needs fresh ingredients after the first has been thrown.
Notes
- Deals Lightning damage, scaling mainly with Dexterity and more weakly with Strength. It does not scale with Faith like many Lightning incantations.
- Costs no FP. The pot gives a ranged Lightning attack without a seal, spell slot or weapon enchantment.
- Ancient Dragonbolt Pot has a stronger base Lightning hit but needs a Ritual Pot and Gravel Stone. This ordinary version uses the more common Cracked Pot supply.
- The Lightning is the thrown attack's damage, rather than a coating applied to your equipped weapon. Grease and weapon enchantments on that weapon do not change the pot's element.
- One craft uses 1 Mushroom and 1 Fulgurbloom. It occupies one empty Cracked Pot; throwing it frees that container for another recipe, while the ingredients are spent.
- Against enemies, Companion Jar increases its damage by 20%. Jar headgear adds 15%, or Greatjar adds 17%; the two pieces of headgear are alternatives. Companion Jar with Greatjar gives 40.4% more damage before other effects.
- Shard of Alexander and Godfrey Icon do not boost it as a weapon skill or charged spell. It is a thrown consumable with its own scaling, not an attack from your equipped weapon.
- Recipes using the same container type share the available empty containers. A Cracked Pot, Ritual Pot and Hefty Cracked Pot are different types and cannot substitute for one another.
