1. Enter Caria Manor through the main gate and stay on the right side of the ground-level garden.
2. Watch the ground for buried Fingercreepers, then search the small room in the southeastern wall.
3. Deal with the sorcerer inside and loot the cookbook.
4. This is a garden-level room. The walkways above and Royal Knight Loretta's arena are not required.
5. If needed, buy the Crafting Kit from Kale at Church of Elleh for 300 runes. Owning a cookbook alone does not open Item Crafting.
6. Collect the listed ingredients and keep an empty Ritual Pot. Open Item Crafting outside combat and make Freezing Pot, then assign it to a quick-item slot or pouch.

Notes

• Deals a small Magic hit and applies a fixed 380 Frostbite buildup. It does not gain more buildup from Intelligence, Arcane or seal upgrades.
• When Frostbite triggers, it causes a burst of damage and makes the target take 20% more damage for 30 seconds. The burst itself depends on the target; it is separate from the pot's small Magic hit.
• You cannot trigger another Frostbite burst while the active effect remains. Fire damage removes that effect and allows buildup again, but also ends the 20% vulnerability.
• A timely pot can interrupt Malenia's Waterfowl Dance wind-up if it triggers Frostbite. This is not guaranteed after earlier frost activations raise her resistance, while she is already frostbitten or in a later journey with higher resistance.
• Hefty Freezing Pot gives 400 buildup, only 20 more than the ordinary version. Its heavier throw and different ingredients matter as much as that small numerical increase.
• Costs no FP and uses a Ritual Pot. Damage-boosting pot equipment does not increase the fixed Frostbite buildup.
• Each craft uses 2 Rimed Crystal Bud and occupies one empty Ritual Pot. The ingredients are spent, while throwing the pot returns its container for another mixture.
• Other recipes using the same container type share that supply. The recipe remains unlocked after use, but an empty pot does not refill itself without another craft.
