About this armor

Raises Strength and Intelligence by two each, but reduces maximum FP by 9%. The effect belongs to the crown alone; the robe, manchettes and legwraps are not required.

The extra attributes can help meet requirements and improve equipment that scales with them. They do not give every spell a separate damage multiplier.

Despite its name, it has no special percentage bonus for Cannon of Haima or Gavel of Haima. Their damage can benefit from Intelligence through the staff you use, just like other Intelligence-scaled sorceries.

In-game description

One of the glintstone crowns bestowed upon Raya Lucaria scholars whose pursuits were deemed worthy.

Increases intelligence and strength to the detriment of FP.

Scholars of the Haima Conspectus sought the power to quell conflict, and to this end studied the sorceries of cannon fire and the gavel.

Where to find

Hill near the northern broken bridge

Altus Plateau

Starting Site of Grace: Road of Iniquity Side Path

  1. Reach Altus Plateau with both Dectus Medallion halves, from Fort Haight and Fort Faroth, or by climbing Ruin-Strewn Precipice and defeating Magma Wyrm Makar.
  2. Follow the road north from Altus Highway Junction, past the map monument, to Forest-Spanning Greatbridge grace. Use the waygate beside the grace to cross to the northern end of the broken bridge.
  3. Leave the northern bridge end and go a short distance north. Look on the western side of the road for a lone Battlemage standing on a rocky rise, east of West Windmill Pasture.
  4. Approach the rise from its accessible side and defeat that Battlemage. Watch for the large magical hammer at close range and the cannon spell if you stay farther away.
  5. Collect Haima Glintstone Crown, Battlemage Robe, Manchettes and Legwraps from this fixed reward. This is not a random armor farm, and the dancing village farther east is a different destination.

Notes

  • Raises Strength and Intelligence by two each, but reduces maximum FP by 9%. The effect belongs to the crown alone; the robe, manchettes and legwraps are not required.
  • The extra attributes can help meet requirements and improve equipment that scales with them. They do not give every spell a separate damage multiplier.
  • Despite its name, it has no special percentage bonus for Cannon of Haima or Gavel of Haima. Their damage can benefit from Intelligence through the staff you use, just like other Intelligence-scaled sorceries.
  • The FP penalty reduces the size of your available casting pool, rather than raising the listed FP cost of each spell. Keep that tradeoff in mind if the smaller pool leaves too little FP for another cast.
  • Weighs 2.7 and provides 4 poise. Removing it removes both attribute points and the FP penalty, so a weapon or spell may stop meeting its requirements after a headgear swap.
  • The northern Altus Battlemage drops it with the three matching clothes. Battlemage Hugues in Sellia Evergaol gives his Spirit Ash instead.
  • It has no altered version and cannot be upgraded with Smithing Stones.
