About this item
Deals Fire damage with stronger Strength scaling and a smaller Dexterity contribution. It is not Faith-scaled like Giantsflame Fire Pot.
The heavy throwing motion commits you for longer than a quick small-pot toss. Throw from a safe opening and allow for the arc instead of beginning as a fast enemy reaches you.
Landing it inside a Furnace Golem's open basket can trigger the basket interaction. Hitting the outside of its body is different, and armored legs do not become vulnerable just because the pot deals Fire.

Where to find
Crafting after obtaining Greater Potentate's Cookbook [1]
Gravesite Plain
Starting Site of Grace: Scorched Ruins
Before you go
- Crafting Kit
- Greater Potentate's Cookbook [1]
- Empty Hefty Cracked Pot
- Ingredients for one pot: 3 Redflesh Mushroom and 2 Black Pyrefly
- From the entrance to the Realm of Shadow, travel north to Scorched Ruins.
- Enter the eastern side of the ruined buildings and check the stone stairs.
- Loot the seated corpse on the steps for the cookbook.
- If Item Crafting is unavailable, buy the Crafting Kit from Kale at Church of Elleh for 300 runes. A cookbook supplies recipes, rather than replacing the kit.
- Collect the listed ingredients and keep an empty Hefty Cracked Pot. Outside combat, open Item Crafting and select Hefty Fire Pot.
- Equip the prepared pot in a quick-item slot or pouch so you can use it during a fight. Another craft needs fresh ingredients after the first has been thrown.
Notes
- Deals Fire damage with stronger Strength scaling and a smaller Dexterity contribution. It is not Faith-scaled like Giantsflame Fire Pot.
- The heavy throwing motion commits you for longer than a quick small-pot toss. Throw from a safe opening and allow for the arc instead of beginning as a fast enemy reaches you.
- Landing it inside a Furnace Golem's open basket can trigger the basket interaction. Hitting the outside of its body is different, and armored legs do not become vulnerable just because the pot deals Fire.
- Hefty Furnace Pot is a separate recipe with different ingredients and a stronger golem-basket role. A Hefty Fire Pot does not consume a Furnace Visage.
- One craft uses 3 Redflesh Mushroom and 2 Black Pyrefly. It occupies one empty Hefty Cracked Pot; throwing it frees that container for another recipe, while the ingredients are spent.
- Against enemies, Companion Jar increases this Hefty Pot's damage by 10%, while Greatjar headgear adds 17%. Together they give 28.7% more damage before other effects. Ordinary Jar headgear does not provide its small-pot bonus to Hefty Pots.
- Shard of Alexander and Godfrey Icon do not boost it as a weapon skill or charged spell. It is a thrown consumable with its own scaling, not an attack from your equipped weapon.
- Recipes using the same container type share the available empty containers. A Cracked Pot, Ritual Pot and Hefty Cracked Pot are different types and cannot substitute for one another.
