1. Follow the cliff road south from Main Gate Cross to Cliffroad Terminus.
2. Continue southeast of Prospect Town into the small forest with lightning sheep.
3. Search the corpse among the trees and loot the cookbook. Keep some space from the charged sheep while you stop to collect it.
4. If Item Crafting is unavailable, buy the Crafting Kit from Kale at Church of Elleh for 300 runes. A cookbook supplies recipes, rather than replacing the kit.
5. Collect the listed ingredients and keep an empty Hefty Cracked Pot. Outside combat, open Item Crafting and select Hefty Lightning Pot.
6. Equip the prepared pot in a quick-item slot or pouch so you can use it during a fight. Another craft needs fresh ingredients after the first has been thrown.

Notes

• Deals Lightning damage, strongly favoring Dexterity with a smaller Strength contribution. It does not use Faith or the Incantation Scaling of a seal.
• Costs no FP and uses a Hefty Cracked Pot. Its ingredients are Redflesh Mushrooms and Yellow Fulgurbloom, rather than ordinary Mushrooms and Fulgurbloom.
• Has a larger, stronger impact than the small Lightning Pot, but its heavier throw leaves a longer opening for the enemy. Aim at a target that is committed or slow enough to remain in the blast.
• The recipe is in the lightning-sheep woodland southeast of Prospect Town. The sheep can hit you while collecting the book; they are not a boss requirement.
• One craft uses 3 Redflesh Mushroom and 2 Yellow Fulgurbloom. It occupies one empty Hefty Cracked Pot; throwing it frees that container for another recipe, while the ingredients are spent.
• Against enemies, Companion Jar increases this Hefty Pot's damage by 10%, while Greatjar headgear adds 17%. Together they give 28.7% more damage before other effects. Ordinary Jar headgear does not provide its small-pot bonus to Hefty Pots.
• Shard of Alexander and Godfrey Icon do not boost it as a weapon skill or charged spell. It is a thrown consumable with its own scaling, not an attack from your equipped weapon.
• Recipes using the same container type share the available empty containers. A Cracked Pot, Ritual Pot and Hefty Cracked Pot are different types and cannot substitute for one another.
