About this item
Applies a base 400 Poison buildup before Arcane scaling, compared with 200 on the ordinary Poison Pot. The larger buildup helps reach a resistant enemy's threshold.
It still applies ordinary Poison: normally 0.07% of maximum HP plus 7 HP per second for 90 seconds. A larger pot does not automatically produce the faster Deadly Poison of Fetid Pots.
The heavy impact also deals physical damage, separate from its status buildup. An enemy immune to Poison can be hit by the impact without becoming poisoned.

Where to find
Crafting after obtaining Greater Potentate's Cookbook [7]
Gravesite Plain
Starting Site of Grace: Castle Front
Before you go
- Crafting Kit
- Greater Potentate's Cookbook [7]
- Empty Hefty Cracked Pot
- Ingredients for one pot: 2 Fly Mold and 2 Toxic Mossling
- From Castle Front, ride southeast down the road through the soldier camp. At the lower fork, follow the route toward the poison swamp and Elder's Hovel.
- At the poison swamp, look for the large Miranda flower and its smaller sprouts.
- Search the seated corpse beside the swamp for the cookbook.
- Draw the flowers' attention away before looting and stay out of the poison water where possible.
- If needed, buy the Crafting Kit from Kale at Church of Elleh for 300 runes. Owning a cookbook alone does not open Item Crafting.
- Collect the listed ingredients and keep an empty Hefty Cracked Pot. Open Item Crafting outside combat and make Hefty Poison Pot, then assign it to a quick-item slot or pouch.
Notes
- Applies a base 400 Poison buildup before Arcane scaling, compared with 200 on the ordinary Poison Pot. The larger buildup helps reach a resistant enemy's threshold.
- It still applies ordinary Poison: normally 0.07% of maximum HP plus 7 HP per second for 90 seconds. A larger pot does not automatically produce the faster Deadly Poison of Fetid Pots.
- The heavy impact also deals physical damage, separate from its status buildup. An enemy immune to Poison can be hit by the impact without becoming poisoned.
- Costs no FP. The heavier throw commits you for longer, so use it while the target is occupied instead of beginning it within reach of a fast attack.
- Arcane improves the buildup rather than the fixed poison drain. Companion Jar or Greatjar can improve eligible impact damage, but do not raise the buildup number.
- More throws do not add overlapping copies of the same active Poison. Once it triggers, switch to damage or another compatible status rather than spending pots for another identical drain.
- Each craft uses 2 Fly Mold and 2 Toxic Mossling and occupies one empty Hefty Cracked Pot. The ingredients are spent, while throwing the pot returns its container for another mixture.
- Other recipes using the same container type share that supply. The recipe remains unlocked after use, but an empty pot does not refill itself without another craft.
