In-game description
The knight Leontiel's favored weapon—a greatsword whose blade is wrapped in leather at the base.
Said to have been wielded by a proud order of orthodox knights long ago, weapons of this ilk demand high dexterity.
Skill
Hold out a red cloth in front, inviting enemies to attack. Use normal or strong attack to gracefully dodge incoming attacks then pivot to offense. Can be charged to increase power of strong attack. Also, additional input allows for a follow-up attack.
Where to find
Caelid
Starting Site of Grace: Starscourge Radahn
Before you go
- Have access to the Tarnished Edition additions and defeat Starscourge Radahn.
- Complete the Radahn Festival at Redmane Castle and defeat Starscourge Radahn on the battlefield. Activate the grace in the dunes after the fight rather than leaving immediately.
- After defeating Radahn, start from the Starscourge Radahn grace on the battlefield and ride north toward War-Dead Catacombs.
- Pass the large ruined pillars on this route to trigger Knight Leontiel's invasion. Defeat Leontiel to receive the greatsword and matching armor.
Notes
- Requires 13 Strength and 26 Dexterity, and weighs 9.5. Its Physical damage strongly favors Dexterity, with a smaller Strength contribution.
- Uses the alternate flowing two-handed Greatsword light attacks and thrusting ordinary heavies. Muleta's follow-ups are a separate moveset with their own damage rules.
- Holding Muleta brings out the red cloth without spending FP. The light follow-up costs 10 FP and sidesteps left into a slash; the heavy costs 13 FP and pivots right into a strike.
- The first heavy can be charged. Another heavy input adds the launching finish for another 13 FP, making the two heavy stages 26 FP.
- The evasive follow-ups have brief invulnerable windows. Merely holding the cloth does not make you invulnerable, automatically parry the next attack or stop a delayed enemy swing.
- Despite their thrusting appearance, the skill's attacks deal Standard Physical damage. Spear Talisman's Pierce counterhit bonus does not apply to those particular skill contacts.
- Rellana's Cameo improves the eligible follow-ups after holding the stance for one second. Shard of Alexander adds its separate skill bonus.
- Godfrey Icon improves the first heavy follow-up when charged. The light attack and uncharged launching finish do not gain that charged-skill bonus simply by following the same stance.
- The launching finish can throw smaller vulnerable enemies upward. A boss that resists launch is still able to retaliate, so the complete sequence needs a longer opening.
- Uses Somber Smithing Stones to +10. Its skill and affinity are fixed, and grease or weapon enchantments cannot be applied.
- The invasion is north of Radahn's defeated arena on the way to War-Dead Catacombs. It is a different encounter from a summon sign used during the festival.
- Requires the additional weapon content. Its availability outside the Realm of Shadow does not mean it appears in an installation without those additions.
