The hefty blade can be swung into multiple foes

at once thanks to the broad, sweeping attack,

making fending off crowds all the easier.

Notes

  • Requires 16 Strength and 10 Dexterity, and weighs nine. Standard physical scaling favors Strength; Heavy removes Dexterity scaling and suits a Strength-focused setup.
  • Two-handing meets its Strength requirement at 11 Strength, but still needs all 10 Dexterity. It is a shorter greatsword, so its sweeping attacks need closer positioning than some longer alternatives.
  • Stamp (Upward Cut) costs five FP for the initial brace and another eight for the strong-attack follow-up. The brace alone is not the damaging upward strike.
  • Heavy affinity uses a slightly weaker Strength contribution for independently scaled skills such as Storm Blade and Flame of the Redmanes. This is a skill-scaling exception, not a fixed percentage reduction to every ordinary sword hit.
  • The merchant sells one for 3,000 runes. This is an early guaranteed purchase rather than a random soldier drop, and no Castle Morne boss is required.
  • Upgrade it with ordinary Smithing Stones to +25. Its critical rating is the normal 100.
  • Can use compatible Ashes of War. Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs; elemental and status affinities normally prevent those coatings.
