About this item

A rearward Holy attack that scales with Faith and normally costs 5 FP. It needs no sacred seal or memorized incantation.

Has the Holy Water family's four-times modifier against qualifying Those Who Live in Death and can prevent defeated skeletons from rising again.

The rope is useful when a pursuing skeleton is behind you. The attack is not redirected forward merely because you lock onto an enemy ahead.

In-game description

Craftable item prepared using a cracked pot.

Enchanted by incantations of the Golden Order, and a short rope that aids throwing has been secured around the pot.

Consumes FP. Throw at rearward enemies to inflict holy damage.

Highly effective against Those Who Live in Death, even preventing them from rising again.

The Golden Order has no mercy for those who trespass beyond life's bounds.

Where to find

Crafting after obtaining Missionary's Cookbook [1]

Limgrave

Starting Site of Grace: Church of Elleh

Before you go

  • Crafting Kit
  • Missionary's Cookbook [1]
  • Empty Cracked Pot
  • Ingredients for one pot: 1 Mushroom, 1 Tarnished Golden Sunflower and 1 String
  • 1,000 runes
  1. From the First Step, follow the path north to the ruined Church of Elleh.
  2. Talk to Kale beside the campfire and open his shop.
  3. Buy the cookbook for 1,000 runes.
  4. If Item Crafting is unavailable, buy the Crafting Kit from Kale at Church of Elleh for 300 runes. A cookbook supplies recipes, rather than replacing the kit.
  5. Collect the listed ingredients and keep an empty Cracked Pot. Outside combat, open Item Crafting and select Roped Holy Water Pot.
  6. Equip the prepared pot in a quick-item slot or pouch so you can use it during a fight. Another craft needs fresh ingredients after the first has been thrown.

Notes

  • A rearward Holy attack that scales with Faith and normally costs 5 FP. It needs no sacred seal or memorized incantation.
  • Has the Holy Water family's four-times modifier against qualifying Those Who Live in Death and can prevent defeated skeletons from rising again.
  • The rope is useful when a pursuing skeleton is behind you. The attack is not redirected forward merely because you lock onto an enemy ahead.
  • Adds one String to the ordinary Holy Water Pot recipe. The Holy damage and revival prevention are separate from the fact that both recipes occupy a Cracked Pot.
  • One craft uses 1 Mushroom, 1 Tarnished Golden Sunflower and 1 String. It occupies one empty Cracked Pot; throwing it frees that container for another recipe, while the ingredients are spent.
  • Against enemies, Companion Jar increases its damage by 20%. Jar headgear adds 15%, or Greatjar adds 17%; the two pieces of headgear are alternatives. Companion Jar with Greatjar gives 40.4% more damage before other effects.
  • Shard of Alexander and Godfrey Icon do not boost it as a weapon skill or charged spell. It is a thrown consumable with its own scaling, not an attack from your equipped weapon.
  • Recipes using the same container type share the available empty containers. A Cracked Pot, Ritual Pot and Hefty Cracked Pot are different types and cannot substitute for one another.
