About this armor

Weighs 17.5 and provides 34 poise.

The hooded helm and caped chest are the regular versions. The bare metal helm and cape-free chest are separate items labeled Altered; all four must be obtained from enemies wearing the appropriate variant.

Neither Boc nor Tailoring Tools can swap these helm and chest versions. The word Altered does not mean this outfit can be changed through the tailoring menu.

In-game description

Thick, full set of armor covering the entire body.

This armor was worn by knights who, whether by misfortune or misdeed, were forced to abandon their homes.

These fierce warriors were each and all accomplished. Perhaps that is why, despite their territorial losses, they were still named knights.

Where to find

Castle Sol ramparts

Mountaintops of the Giants

Starting Site of Grace: Church of the Eclipse

  1. Defeat Morgott in Leyndell and speak to Melina for the Rold Medallion. Follow the capital's eastern exit through the Forbidden Lands and use the Grand Lift of Rold to reach the Mountaintops of the Giants.
  2. Travel to Castle Sol on the northern side of the Mountaintops. Enter the main gate, keep clear of the two Lion Guardians and take the wooden stairs on the left.
  3. Follow the raised route past the bird and wolves into the next building. Climb its wooden stairs and leave through the upper doorway.
  4. Cross to the church and climb its stone stairs, watching for the spectral Banished Knight. Activate Church of the Eclipse grace in the side room.
  5. Leave through the church's main doorway and climb the ladder immediately on the right. Turn left along the wall, then left again at its end toward the knight accompanied by wolves.
  6. Clear the wolves before fighting the spectral knight wearing the full cape. This particular enemy can drop unaltered Banished Knight Armor; the knight directly in front of the church is not the same farm.
  7. Collect the glowing loot and rest at Church of the Eclipse to repeat. Commander Niall does not need to be defeated for this route, and tailoring the common chest cannot replace the farm.

Notes

  • Weighs 17.5 and provides 34 poise.
  • The hooded helm and caped chest are the regular versions. The bare metal helm and cape-free chest are separate items labeled Altered; all four must be obtained from enemies wearing the appropriate variant.
  • Neither Boc nor Tailoring Tools can swap these helm and chest versions. The word Altered does not mean this outfit can be changed through the tailoring menu.
  • The red scarf is part of the helm, not proof that the enemy drops a caped chest. The cathedral knight gives the hooded helm with the altered chest; use Castle Sol for the full cape.
  • None of the pieces has a passive attribute or weapon-skill bonus. Wearing the outfit does not grant the knights' storm attacks or teleportation.
  • Has a base 3% drop chance per eligible knight at 100 Discovery. Higher Discovery improves the chance, but repeated kills can still give duplicate pieces or no armor.
  • The caped chest weighs 17.5 and provides 34 poise. The cape-free chest weighs 16.5 and provides 33 poise, so saving one weight also loses one poise.
