About this armor

Raises FP recovery from Flask of Cerulean Tears by 10%, but also has a passive that increases incoming damage by 10%. Its own armor negation and your other equipment are applied separately.

The drawback is why its effective damage-negation values are negative when considered on its own. Do not treat the flask bonus as free protection or assume the helmet simply adds ten percentage points to every displayed negation.

It improves the flask recovery, not maximum FP, sorcery damage or spell costs. Drinking while almost full can waste the extra recovery.

Where to find

Northeastern Sellia rooftop

Caelid

Starting Site of Grace: Sellia Under-Stair

  1. From Southern Aeonia Swamp Bank, follow the road north through Sellia Gateway. Watch for the giant throwing rocks above the gateway. Gowry's wooden shack is off the road on the right, before the town.
  2. Continue north into Sellia, Town of Sorcery. Activate Sellia Under-Stair on the southwestern edge and follow the main street north, watching for sorcerers appearing beside the buildings.
  3. Climb the stairs at the far end toward the golden sapling and the sealed upper gate. The large roots beside these steps provide the way onto the roofs.
  4. Use the root beside the upper stairs to reach the roofs. Work along the connected roofs and roots to the eastern candle tower, watching for Marionettes and gaps.
  5. From that tower's roof route, go north across the roofs to the corpse in northeastern Sellia. Loot Cerulean Tear Scarab. You can take it before lighting every flame or defeating the Nox duo.

Notes

  • Raises FP recovery from Flask of Cerulean Tears by 10%, but also has a passive that increases incoming damage by 10%. Its own armor negation and your other equipment are applied separately.
  • The drawback is why its effective damage-negation values are negative when considered on its own. Do not treat the flask bonus as free protection or assume the helmet simply adds ten percentage points to every displayed negation.
  • It improves the flask recovery, not maximum FP, sorcery damage or spell costs. Drinking while almost full can waste the extra recovery.
  • Cerulean Seed Talisman can multiply with its flask bonus. The seed talisman's benefit is separate and does not remove the scarab's incoming-damage penalty.
  • Weighs 5.1 and provides 6 poise. It has no altered version and does not need another matching piece to work.
  • This blue helmet is a corpse pickup on a Sellia roof. It is not an enemy scarab drop, and it is different from Glintstone Scarab, which reduces sorcery FP costs.
