About this armor
Weighs 5.1 and provides 8 poise. Include weapons and talismans when keeping your equipment load below the medium-roll limit.
Has a base 3% drop chance per eligible enemy at 100 Discovery. Higher Discovery improves the chance; duplicate pieces and empty kills are still possible.
Its strongest elemental protection is Fire at 4.2%, and its weakest is Lightning at 3.4%. These reduce incoming damage; they do not increase your own attacks.
In-game description
Helm worn by knights loyal to Godrick the Grafted.
Adorned with a plume of withered, ashen hair.
Where to find
Gatefront Ruins greatshield knight
Limgrave
Starting Site of Grace: Gatefront
- From Church of Elleh, follow the road north through the woodland to the soldier camp at Gatefront Ruins. Activate Gatefront grace beside the huge gate on the northwestern edge of the ruins.
- Go southeast into the camp. Pull enemies away from the horn-carrying soldier before fighting the larger groups, or deal with the horn bearer before it calls the camp to you.
- Find the heavily armored knight with a greatshield and long spear on the camp's central road. This is the knight farm; the ordinary surcoat soldiers drop a different outfit.
- Defeat the knight and collect any armor drops, then rest at Gatefront to repeat. No Margit or Godrick victory is required.
- For the altered chest, obtain regular Godrick Knight Armor first and use Alter garments with the Tailoring Tools and Sewing Needle, or ask Boc.
Notes
- Weighs 5.1 and provides 8 poise. Include weapons and talismans when keeping your equipment load below the medium-roll limit.
- Has a base 3% drop chance per eligible enemy at 100 Discovery. Higher Discovery improves the chance; duplicate pieces and empty kills are still possible.
- Its strongest elemental protection is Fire at 4.2%, and its weakest is Lightning at 3.4%. These reduce incoming damage; they do not increase your own attacks.
- The knight's armor and weapons have separate random drops. Orange-and-green soldiers do not drop the knight outfit.
- The regular four-piece knight outfit gives 51 poise at 28.1 weight, compared with 47 poise at 24.7 for Godrick Soldier equipment. More poise does not make you immune to interruption.
- The chest can be tailored to remove its cape. The helm, gauntlets and greaves have no altered versions.
- No piece increases Strength, the power of Godrick's Great Rune or your weapon damage.
