LocationTombsward Ruins

Weeping Peninsula

Starting Site of Grace: Church of Pilgrimage

  1. Cross into the Weeping Peninsula and reach its western half. Activate Church of Pilgrimage on the northern hill, then head southwest toward Tombsward Ruins.
  2. Find the staircase descending beneath the ruined buildings. This is the ruins' cellar, rather than Tombsward Catacombs or the other nearby cave entrances.
  3. Draw out the two hooded Pages in the underground room and defeat them. Their crossbows can fire a quick burst, so use the staircase and doorway to separate them.
  4. Collect their drops, then return to the church grace and rest to reset the Pages. The bow is a random enemy drop, not the item in the cellar chest.

Notes

  • Dexterity provides much stronger physical scaling than Strength. It weighs 2.5 and uses the quick running, rolling and jumping shots of a light bow.
  • Pages can drop it even though they attack you with crossbows. The enemy's visible firing weapon does not change the drop into a bolt weapon.
  • The relevant Pages have a 4% base drop chance at 100 Item Discovery. The two in Tombsward Ruins reset when you rest, making the cellar a repeatable farm.
  • Barrage costs 2 FP for each rapid shot and spends one arrow per shot. Its arrows apply 75% of normal ammunition status buildup per hit, so the benefit is repeated hits rather than full-strength buildup on each arrow.
  • Starts with Barrage. Can use compatible Ashes of War for this bow class, but keeps Standard affinity rather than changing to Heavy, Keen or an elemental melee affinity.
  • Upgrade with Smithing Stones to +25.
  • Grease and weapon enchantments cannot be applied. Choose the ammunition for added elemental damage or status buildup; this bow has no Arcane scaling to increase the arrows' status buildup.
  • Uses arrows, rather than bolts or greatarrows. Equip up to two arrow types in the ammunition slots and use the corresponding firing input to choose between them.
  • Requires 8 Strength and 16 Dexterity. Weighs 2.5. Ordinary shots spend stamina and ammunition; the skill also needs its listed FP.
