Notes

• With Standard affinity, physical damage scales most strongly with Dexterity, with weaker Strength scaling.
• Its critical rating is 110. This improves critical attacks such as backstabs and ripostes; it does not give every ordinary attack the same bonus.
• Upgrade it with Smithing Stones. Its maximum upgrade is +25.
• Can use compatible Ashes of War. Your choice of skill and the whetblades you've found determine which affinities you can apply.
• Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
• Its normal weapon hits build up blood loss. The effect only triggers against enemies that are vulnerable to it.
• Requires 6 Strength and 14 Dexterity and weighs 1.5. Dexterity is its strongest Standard attribute, and its light weight leaves more room for other equipment.
• Has 60 innate Blood Loss buildup. Standard has no Arcane scaling, while Blood, Poison and Occult allow Arcane to improve the retained bleed.
• Two-handing equips a claw on each hand from one copy. An eligible coating applied to the right-hand weapon covers both claws in this paired state.
• Its actual jumping attacks use stronger attack modifiers than ordinary claws. Claw Talisman and either Raptor's Black Feathers or Gravebird's Blackquill Armor can improve those jumping attacks further.
• Its paired heavy attacks have a distinctive downward swipe followed by an upward swipe. Fully charging them adds a forward lunge on the first attack and a retreating backflip on the next.
• Those charged heavy attacks remain charged heavies despite leaving the ground. Axe Talisman can improve them, while jump-attack bonuses do not apply just because the animation is airborne.
• Starts with Quickstep for 3 FP. The low weight and mobile heavies do not make the claws' short reach disappear, so keep close enough for both blades to connect.
• The chest is before the waterfall and both bosses. Neither the invisible Black Knife Assassin nor Necromancer Garris is required for the talons.
