Where to find
Liurnia of the Lakes
Starting Site of Grace: Lake-Facing Cliffs
- Reach Lake-Facing Cliffs after Stormveil, or use the cliffside path around the castle's eastern side to enter southern Liurnia without defeating Godrick. The graveyard is on the high ground, not down in the lake.
- From Lake-Facing Cliffs, head west to the nearby graveyard. Approach the graves to make the scythe-wielding Skeletons rise.
- Defeat the scythe carriers and strike their glowing remains before they rebuild themselves. Check their dropped items.
- Rest at Lake-Facing Cliffs and repeat if needed. The Skeletons carrying other weapons have different drops.
Notes
- With Standard affinity, physical damage scales most strongly with Strength, with weaker Dexterity scaling.
- Upgrade it with Smithing Stones. Its maximum upgrade is +25.
- Can use compatible Ashes of War. Your choice of skill and the whetblades you've found determine which affinities you can apply.
- Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
- Raises Vitality by 35 while active, helping you resist Death Blight buildup.
- Its normal weapon hits build up blood loss. The effect only triggers against enemies that are vulnerable to it.
- Requires 17 Strength and 13 Dexterity and weighs 9.5. Standard favors Strength, with Heavy supporting that focus more than the slimmer Scythe's Dexterity emphasis.
- Has 55 innate Blood Loss buildup. Standard has no Arcane scaling, while Occult retains bleed and makes both Physical damage and bleed respond to Arcane.
- Its hooked blade bypasses part of guarding damage negation. This lets it damage a shielded target without first emptying the guard's stamina, but does not ignore armor or make every hit unblockable.
- The 35 Vitality bonus raises resistance to Death Blight. It is not a Vigor bonus, extra maximum HP or immunity to a full Death Blight meter.
- The Vitality bonus is fixed and requires the scythe to be held. Upgrading the weapon does not make the resistance bonus larger.
- Starts with Spinning Slash for 6 FP and a 12-FP follow-up. Other compatible skills can change its role, while ordinary buffs remain limited by affinity.
- The base drop chance is 2% at 100 Item Discovery from eligible scythe-carrying Skeletons. Destroy their glowing remains before they rebuild, then reset at the grace for another attempt.
