In-game description

Hard, curved club, shaped like a crescent moon.

Wielded instead of a curved sword by Albinaurics lacking dexterity. The only point of similarity between the two is the shape.

Where to find

LocationBroken bridge east of Academy Gate Town

Liurnia of the Lakes

Starting Site of Grace: Academy Gate Town

  1. Reach Lake-Facing Cliffs behind Stormveil, either through the castle or by using the cliff path around its eastern side. Follow the road down past the soldiers' camp to Liurnia Lake Shore.
  2. Ride north through the shallow lake toward the flooded buildings southeast of Raya Lucaria Academy. Activate Academy Gate Town grace on the southern side of the sunken town.
  3. From the grace, head east to the broken bridge and find the two round-headed Albinaurics carrying curved wooden clubs. Their weapons look larger in their hands than the club in your inventory.
  4. Defeat those carriers and check their drops for Curved Club. Rest at Academy Gate Town and repeat if needed. A shield, curved sword or larger great club belongs to a different drop.

Notes

  • With Standard affinity, physical damage favors Strength over Dexterity. Heavy removes Dexterity scaling and reaches S Strength scaling at maximum upgrade. The letter alone does not guarantee more damage than every other hammer.
  • Despite its curved shape, this is a hammer dealing Strike damage, rather than a curved sword dealing Slash damage. It has no innate bleed, poison or frost.
  • Requires 11 Strength and 7 Dexterity, weighs 5.0 and has a normal critical rating of 100.
  • On Heavy affinity, certain independent Strength-scaling skill projectiles have slightly weaker scaling than the ordinary Heavy upgrade family. Ground Slam and Flame of the Redmanes are examples. This exception does not weaken every skill or apply on every affinity.
  • Barbaric Roar costs 16 FP and lasts 40 seconds. It strengthens physical damage and Strength scaling, and changes the heavy attacks into longer combinations. Leave yourself enough time to finish the combination safely.
  • Roar Medallion and an actively held Highland Axe improve the changed heavy attacks. Axe Talisman helps their fully charged versions. Shard of Alexander does not boost these weapon attacks simply because a skill enabled them.
  • The roar is a weapon buff. Putting the weapon away or replacing its coating ends it. Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs, but does not stack with the roar coating.
  • Can use compatible Ashes of War and upgrades with Smithing Stones to +25. Replacing Barbaric Roar also replaces its temporary heavy-attack combinations.
  • The weapon has a 2% base drop chance at 100 Item Discovery from its Albinauric carriers. Higher Item Discovery improves that chance, but does not guarantee a drop after a set number of kills.
