Limgrave

Starting Site of Grace: Agheel Lake South

  1. Start at Agheel Lake South grace in southern Limgrave. Head east to the soldiers' camp beside the fallen stone ruins, the camp that also contains Great Epee.
  2. Look for the two ordinary soldiers carrying short pick-shaped hammers. Draw them away from the larger Kaiden swordsmen and the sorcerer rather than fighting the whole camp together.
  3. Defeat the pick carriers and collect their dropped loot. Return to Agheel Lake South, rest and repeat until Warpick drops. Opening the camp's weapon chest gives Great Epee instead.

Notes

  • Its ordinary weapon attacks deal Pierce damage despite using the hammer moveset. Spear Talisman can improve those piercing hits when they land during an enemy's attack. This bonus depends on the counterattack timing, rather than simply hitting a shield or using a charged attack.
  • With Standard affinity, Strength and Dexterity provide equal scaling at equal attribute values. Heavy shifts the emphasis to Strength, while Keen emphasizes Dexterity. Two-handing also changes the effective Strength contribution.
  • It is longer than many small hammers but has relatively low attack power for the class. The piercing counterattack option is the main reason to choose it over a similarly upgraded Strike hammer.
  • Comes with Kick, which costs no FP and is useful for breaking an enemy's guard while they are blocking. It is not a damaging hammer swing or a reliable way to interrupt every large enemy. Replace it with a compatible Ash of War if you want a different skill.
  • Requires 11 Strength and 9 Dexterity, weighs only 2.5 and has a normal critical rating of 100. It has no innate bleed or other status buildup.
  • Can use compatible Ashes of War and upgrades with Smithing Stones to +25. Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied with Standard, Heavy, Keen or Quality affinity; elemental and status affinities prevent ordinary weapon coatings.
  • Soldiers carrying the pick have a 2% base drop chance at 100 Item Discovery. Soldiers with swords, spears or other weapons do not share this particular drop. The weapon is a random drop, separate from their armor.
