LocationDominula, Windmill Village

Altus Plateau

Starting Site of Grace: Windmill Village

Before you go

  • Reach Altus Plateau.
  1. Reach Altus Plateau with the Dectus Medallion halves from Fort Haight and Fort Faroth, or defeat Magma Wyrm Makar at the top of Ruin-Strewn Precipice.
  2. From Altus Highway Junction, follow the road north past the map monument to Forest-Spanning Greatbridge. The waygate beside that grace brings you to the northern end of the broken bridge.
  3. Leave the northern bridge end and follow the road east across northern Altus, toward the windmills. At the village junction, take the uphill path through the wooden entrance arch and activate Windmill Village grace.
  4. Go a short way east up the village path and find the blue-clad dancers carrying small sickles. Their blue hoods and capes distinguish them from the cleaver and rake carriers.
  5. Defeat the sickle carriers and collect their loot. The weapon has a 0.5% base chance at 100 Item Discovery; clothing drops use separate rolls.
  6. Rest at Windmill Village and repeat those same blue carriers. Higher Item Discovery helps the random weapon roll. The Godskin Apostle at the summit is unnecessary.

Notes

  • With Standard affinity, physical damage strongly favors Dexterity over Strength. Keen further emphasizes Dexterity. It has no innate bleed or Arcane scaling merely because it is a sickle.
  • Normal weapon attacks bypass half of a shield's damage negation, letting some physical or affinity-added elemental damage through a raised guard. The attack can still be blocked in part, so this does not make every hit completely unblockable.
  • One-handed dagger attacks can rebound from medium shields and greatshields. Two-handing helps prevent that rebound, letting you make better use of its guard penetration.
  • Qualifying weapon hits grant 10 runes separately from the reward for defeating the enemy. Damage, Dexterity and reinforcement do not increase that base payment. The short trigger cooldown prevents treating every contact in a broad attack as a separate immediate payment.
  • Keen gives it strong Dexterity scaling for normal attacks, but slightly weaker Dexterity scaling for independent skill projectiles than the ordinary Keen upgrade family. Beast's Roar and Thunderbolt are examples. This exception does not make its normal attacks or every skill weaker.
  • Requires 6 Strength and 11 Dexterity, weighs 1.5 and has a normal critical rating of 100. Being a dagger does not give it an enhanced critical rating.
  • Starts with Quickstep for 3 FP. Can use compatible Ashes of War and upgrades with Smithing Stones to +25. Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
  • The blue sickle carriers have a 0.5% base weapon chance at 100 Item Discovery. They can drop blue clothing without dropping the weapon, so target the correct carriers and repeat rather than farming every dancer.
