Notes

  • It starts with Parry, so it can be used in your left hand to attempt a parry while another weapon stays in your right. The enemy's attack still needs to be parryable, and the timing matters.
  • The name does not give it a permanent parry ability separate from its skill. Can use compatible Ashes of War, but replacing Parry replaces the skill you were using to parry.
  • Its critical rating is 110. A successful parry creates an opening for a riposte, but you can switch to a stronger critical weapon for that hit instead of assuming the parrying tool must deal the riposte too.
  • Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs. Upgrade it with Smithing Stones, up to +25.
  • Patches sells it after you spare him and open his shop. Stop attacking when he surrenders if you want to keep his quest and shop available.
