In-game description

A hammer made from a boulder, used in the War against the Giants. One of the heftiest weapons in the entire Lands Between. After the giants were quelled, and man turned against man in violence, this weapon was all but forgotten. Man has grown feeble in comparison to his forebears.

Before you go

Reach the Capital Outskirts.

From Outer Wall Phantom Tree, head directly south to the small soldiers' camp. Find the large carriage inside it.
An Ulcerated Tree Spirit appears in this camp. Defeat it or draw it away before returning to the carriage.
Climb onto the rear of the carriage and open the chest for Giant-Crusher. The weapon is in the chest, not the Tree Spirit's rewards.

Notes

With Standard affinity, physical damage scales most strongly with Strength.
Upgrade it with Smithing Stones. Its maximum upgrade is +25.
Can use compatible Ashes of War. Your choice of skill and the whetblades you've found determine which affinities you can apply.
Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
Requires 60 Strength and no Dexterity and weighs 26.5. Two-handing lets you meet the requirement at 40 Strength, but you still need enough equip load for its substantial weight.
Standard damage scales only with Strength, and Heavy reaches S Strength scaling. Dexterity does not improve its Standard damage.
Its ordinary heavy attack is a forward somersault, available one-handed or two-handed without spending FP. Charging it produces a heavier impact and can flatten smaller enemies.
Lion's Claw is a separate, faster skill you can equip. The ordinary somersault heavy benefits from charged-attack bonuses when fully charged; it is not automatically skill damage for Shard of Alexander.
Starts with Endure for 9 FP. Its brief protection helps you resist interruption and reduces incoming damage, but does not make you invulnerable.
It deals Strike damage and has strong blocking for a weapon, including 88% Physical negation at Standard +0. A block still loses HP and stamina, and its weight does not automatically make every swing uninterruptible.
The carriage chest gives one fixed copy without entering Leyndell or defeating the nearby Tree Spirit. A second copy normally needs another journey or a player trade.
