Starting Site of Grace: Agheel Lake South
- Start at Agheel Lake South, on the southern side of the lake, and ride east up toward the camp beside the fallen stone ruins.
- Watch the tents for two Kaiden Sellswords and a Noble Sorcerer who can notice you from a distance. Draw nearby enemies away if they are preventing you opening the chest.
- Open the chest beside a tent for Great Épée. The Royal House Scroll is a separate corpse pickup on the raised eastern ruin, rather than the item inside this chest.
Notes
- A Heavy Thrusting Sword requiring 15 Strength and 16 Dexterity, with 6.5 weight. Standard affinity has stronger Dexterity than Strength scaling, though both improve Physical damage.
- Its heavy and charged heavy attacks are horizontal sweeps, unlike the straight thrusts that dominate the rest of the moveset. Use the sweeps when you need to catch enemies beside you.
- Can attack while guarding with a shield. Both attacking and blocking spend stamina, so leave enough to avoid a guard break.
- Its thrusting attacks can benefit from counter-hit bonuses. The horizontal sweeps do not get a Pierce bonus just because this is a thrusting sword.
- Impaling Thrust is its default skill and costs 9 FP. It lunges forward and can pressure an enemy through a guard; it does not guarantee a stance break against every enemy.
- Its critical rating is 100. It is a different weapon from the small Rapier, which has a higher critical modifier.
- The campsite chest can be collected without defeating Margit, Godrick or a dungeon boss.
- Upgrade it with Smithing Stones to +25. Can use compatible Ashes of War; changing the affinity can change which attributes improve its damage.
- Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
- It has no innate blood loss, poison or Frostbite. An appropriate affinity or compatible buff is needed if you want one of those effects.
