Notes

• With Standard affinity, physical damage scales more strongly with Dexterity than Strength. Its name and original owner do not give the ordinary blade an innate Intelligence or sorcery-damage bonus.
• Requires 8 Strength and 17 Dexterity, weighs 3.5 and has a critical rating of 110. That rating improves critical attacks such as backstabs and ripostes, rather than every ordinary thrust.
• Its heavy and charged heavy attacks use a distinctive double thrust. Each hit applies 65% of the weapon's status buildup, for 130% if both connect.
• The unmodified weapon has no innate status buildup. An appropriate affinity or compatible coating is needed before that double thrust can use the extra status application.
• The gift arrives at +8 with Glintblade Phalanx applied. That Ash can be removed or transferred; the weapon's underlying skill is Repeating Thrust.
• Can use compatible Ashes of War and different affinities. Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
• Upgrade with Smithing Stones to +25. The early +8 gift can affect multiplayer weapon-level matching; storing or discarding it does not erase the highest upgrade level you have received.
• Speak to Rogier about defeating Godrick while he is still responsive on the Roundtable balcony. His later clothing and bell bearing are separate death rewards, rather than the conversation that grants this rapier.
