LocationLarge club carriers in Temple Quarter

Liurnia of the Lakes

Starting Site of Grace: Temple Quarter

  1. Reach Lake-Facing Cliffs behind Stormveil, either through the castle or by using the cliff path around its eastern side. Follow the road down past the soldiers' camp to Liurnia Lake Shore.
  2. Ride northwest across the shallow lake toward the flooded ruins southwest of Raya Lucaria Academy. These are Temple Quarter; activate its grace on the northwestern side of the ruins.
  3. Search the flooded Temple Quarter ruins for the larger round-headed Albinaurics carrying the heavy curved club in both hands. The smaller club-and-shield carriers drop Curved Club instead.
  4. Defeat the large carriers and check their drops. Rest at Temple Quarter to respawn them and repeat until Curved Great Club drops. Smarag and the Academy Glintstone Key farther north are unnecessary for this farm.

Notes

  • A Great Hammer dealing Strike damage. With Standard affinity, physical damage favors Strength over Dexterity, though Dexterity still contributes. Heavy removes Dexterity scaling and concentrates the weapon on Strength.
  • Requires 24 Strength and 10 Dexterity. Two-handing meets the Strength requirement at 16 Strength, but does not reduce the Dexterity requirement. It weighs 10.0 and has a normal critical rating of 100.
  • Its size and heavy swings require more room than Curved Club. They are separate weapon classes, so equipping one of each does not give the paired moveset for two matching hammers.
  • It has no innate blood loss or other status buildup. The enemy carrying it does not give your weapon a magical attack or the ability to summon a giant skeleton.
  • Barbaric Roar costs 16 FP and lasts 40 seconds. It strengthens physical damage and Strength scaling, and changes the heavy attacks into longer combinations. Leave yourself enough time to finish the combination safely.
  • Roar Medallion and an actively held Highland Axe improve the changed heavy attacks. Axe Talisman helps their fully charged versions. Shard of Alexander does not boost these weapon attacks simply because a skill enabled them.
  • The roar is a weapon buff. Putting the weapon away or replacing its coating ends it. Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs, but does not stack with the roar coating.
  • Can use compatible Ashes of War and upgrades with Smithing Stones to +25. Replacing Barbaric Roar restores the ordinary heavy attacks unless the new skill also changes them.
  • The large club carriers have a 4% base weapon chance at 100 Item Discovery. The weapon is a random enemy drop, rather than a chest reward or a guaranteed reward for clearing Temple Quarter.
