Notes

• With Standard affinity, physical damage scales most strongly with Strength, with weaker Dexterity scaling.
• Upgrade it with Smithing Stones. Its maximum upgrade is +25.
• Can use compatible Ashes of War. Your choice of skill and the whetblades you've found determine which affinities you can apply.
• Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
• Requires 20 Strength and 14 Dexterity and weighs 9. Strength is slightly stronger on Standard, while Heavy or another affinity can change the emphasis.
• It is an infusable great spear, giving it broader skill and affinity choices than the many fixed-skill weapons in that class. It does not share the smaller spear class's entire moveset.
• Its thrusts can strike while you keep a suitable shield raised. Attacking and blocking both consume stamina, so leave enough to avoid being guard-broken.
• Pierce attacks can deal counterhit damage when they catch a target during its attack. Spear Talisman improves eligible Physical counter hits, rather than every hit simply because you are holding a lance.
• Starts with Charge Forth for 16 FP. Hold the skill to extend the forward rush; charging into a group still leaves you exposed to enemies outside its narrow path.
• Its description highlights mounted combat, but it has no special hidden damage bonus just for riding Torrent. It also has no innate bleed or elemental damage.
• The rooftop pickup is available early without Margit or Godrick. You need the route onto the ruin, rather than a random drop from the soldiers below.
