LocationMorne Tunnel

Weeping Peninsula

Starting Site of Grace: Morne Tunnel

  1. Cross Bridge of Sacrifice into Weeping Peninsula and follow the main road south to South of the Lookout Tower grace. Turn west toward the rocky valley east of the Minor Erdtree.
  2. Follow the descending ground into the chasm and find Morne Tunnel at its southern end. Ride the entrance lift down and activate the grace before continuing.
  3. Follow the wooden platforms past the Misbegotten and cross the narrow beam. Use the northern opening into the next chamber and descend its wooden stairs to the ground floor.
  4. Continue through the lower passages past the miners. The southern wooden shack holds optional supplies; return to the connected lower chambers for the boss route.
  5. Find the wooden double doors at the end of the eastern passage. Open them and defeat the Scaly Misbegotten to receive Rusted Anchor.
  6. This is Morne Tunnel's boss, not Leonine Misbegotten on Castle Morne's beach. You do not need to clear every side pickup in the mine.

Notes

  • With Standard affinity, physical damage scales most strongly with Strength, with weaker Dexterity scaling.
  • Upgrade it with Smithing Stones. Its maximum upgrade is +25.
  • Can use compatible Ashes of War. Your choice of skill and the whetblades you've found determine which affinities you can apply.
  • Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
  • Requires 26 Strength and 9 Dexterity and weighs 12.5. Strength is its dominant Standard attribute; two-handing meets its Strength requirement at 18.
  • Its ordinary anchor hits deal Pierce damage despite the greataxe moveset. They can gain a counterhit bonus when they catch an enemy during its attack.
  • Spear Talisman improves eligible Physical counter hits even though this is a greataxe. Elemental damage on a split affinity does not receive that Physical Pierce counterhit bonus.
  • Starts with Barbaric Roar for 16 FP. Its 40-second buff raises Physical attack power and improves Strength scaling, with different heavy attacks while active.
  • Heavy uses a slightly weaker modifier for some separate Heavy, Quality and Fire skill projectiles. That small projectile difference does not make Dexterity the anchor's main blade attribute.
  • The rusty appearance does not add Poison, Scarlet Rot or Blood Loss. The Scaly Misbegotten in Morne Tunnel awards it directly, rather than making you farm ordinary Misbegotten for a chance.
